Update/Well, I received a call from their area manager about 1.5 weeks later and he offered his apologies and a refund. It was just a small amount and it wasn't about the money, just what's right and wrong. We'll still go there cause we like the value and quality. Just check the menu price versus the charged price. I've upped their rating by three stars.
My wife and I actually like this place and frequent it. Great pancakes! However, today we ordered our normal items (see pic) and they charged $9.29 ea. But the menu says $8.99. I ask the cashier about it and got a blank stare. So, I ask for the so called mgr. Told her about it and got the deer in the headlights look. Finally after numerous questions she said all the prices went up but the menu didn't get changed. I mentioned that California Business & Professions Code BPC 12024.2 makes it a $25 per incident infraction to knowingly do this. The mgr didn't offer a refund even after I ask multipule times. You would think they would be better trained? All I got for my inquiries was blank stares. Clueless! It's not about the money. Actually, I believe their prices are very fair and I am happy to pay the additional 3.3% increase. But, it's not right to agree to one price and have them charge you card a higher price. This was being done to everyone without their knowledge. They should wait to implement the price increase until after their menu is changed. I left a message at their corporate customer relations, but no call back yet. We would love to give them a great review. So far this has been handled very...
Read moreIf I could give this location lower score I would. They have a serious employee problem. The person who made our drinks got very defensive when she misunderstood the order from the cashier and started blaming it on the customer.. that was the first red flag .. they then allowed this employee in the lobby - she was cleaning tables and locked the doors ( it must have been an early closing at 3pm -customers still eating inside and also enclosed outside dinning area.. ) which was not a problem until she realized that we needed to come back inside. My handicap mom knocked on the door next to the table she was cleaning and she refused to acknowledge her… other customers inside gestured just a moment and told the employee and the employee looked to make faces & rude gestures. My mom didn’t understand what was going on and walked a little farther down knock on the glass next to the table she was then cleaning — the employee made faces and a vulgar gesture towards her this time snd then walked away.. it was very upsetting - the other elderly couple sitting at the next table were shook. This was supposed to be a nice afternoon out - we basicly threw our food away and left . We will not return to that location because you don’t hire someone snd watch them work & not know this employee’s personality & lack of character shows...
Read moreThe service was impeccable, the restaurant clean (and surprisingly empty), yet the food was so, so disappointing. While the portion sizes were very good, the taste of everything was terribly bland. I ate with my adult daughter here last Friday at 6 pm. I ordered the smaller portion size of the Caesar salad and the same size of the pesto pasta. The Caesar salad was, I believe, nothing but the cheapest lettuce, some bread crumbs, and tiny bits of cheese. The piece of garlic bread was, sadly, the best part of the meal. The pasta utterly lacked flavor. My daughter ordered a chicken dish and after two bites, refused to eat any more - it was that bad. I sent her back to order something else and she liked the salad she ordered, I can't remember which one though. Simply put, I can't say whether the blame lies with their corporate chefs who created these recipes or the kitchen staff who actually prepared them. I believe Chef Ramsay says the cook is supposed to taste the food he sends out to make sure it's on point. I doubt anything is tasted here. If they did, they'd refuse to eat it and be ashamed of themselves. If they don't love cooking, I highly recommend they seek...
