Williams-Sonoma — Local services in San Diego

In January 2023, I purchased 6 Larnaca Slate Grey Metal Kitchen outdoor cabinets from Williams Sonoma for over $12,000. I chose these cabinets and built an outdoor pool bar area according to the specifications of these exact cabinets. I was unable to unpack the cabinets and finish the remodel with these purchased cabinets until May, 2023.

However, after just 1 month of placing them in the outdoor pool are I had built, I noticed the stainless steel countertops and handles had rust all over them. This is unexpected as stainless steel is known for its corrosion resistance and I paid so much for these cabinets.

We called the UTC store to make them aware of the situation, and they directed us to the customer service manager at the corporate level. This manager told us the items were only warrantied for 30 days from the purchase time and she would not be able to send out a technician to even look at the damaged product.

WS has not offered any other solution to this defect other than using a specific cleaner, Barstool Cleaner, to which has not resolved the issues with the stainless steel.

We could not be more disappointed with the quality of these cabinets. We will never shop at or recommend WS ever again. Their workmanship and customer service...

My father and I were followed around the store by the same employee for 10 minutes. Every time we would look at an item she would crouch around the corner to see what we were doing. One might think that she was just seeing if we had any questions but no. We could clearly see her staring down at us then immediately look away. The thing that bothered me most is when I went to look at the utensils she was still staring at my father who is brown skinned. I on the other hand am white passing. Not once was I followed or watch the same as my father. I bought a set of pans for 435$ in December. Nowhere on the site then (or even now) does it say backordered. No one can tell me when they will be delivered, every month it gets pushed back another month with no one on the customer service able to confirm. Still on the site they don’t show backorder, it shows a delivery date of 2 weeks away, with no indication that you’ll be waiting for your order to show up for 3+ months. I’ve posted reviews on the site, they get hidden and taken down, the item shows 0 reviews. I’ve chatted with customer service who are no help.
