We have been to Season 52 at the UTC Mall on many occasions over the years and never left a review. Last night, our family was shopping at the mall and decided to have dinner at Season 52 because this restaurant serves rotating seasonal American specialties/dishes. Also, we didn’t need advanced reservation on a busy Saturday evening at a fancier American seafood/steak restaurant. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. The interior has a warm and relaxed vibes. Our server brought us menu immediately and told us that they just changed it to their Spring menu. Some of us are lactose intolerant and we were surprised that the server brought us the lactose free, gluten free, vegan menu. Server told us that the chefs could make adjustment to the main menu dishes to meet our needs. We were pleased to know that. Also, server told us that they use butter very sparingly, if used at all because most of their dishes are under 590 calories per dish. We ordered the thin-crust pesto chicken and fresh mozzarella flat bread, slow-roasted grass fed beef meatballs in tomato basil sauce and grilled artichoke with lemon hummus as starters and they were brought up very promptly. Server also brought the complimentary pizza bread. For the main entrees, we ordered grilled salmon with salad, caramelized grilled sea scallops with mascarpone risotto and asparagus, wood-grilled dry-rubbed pork chop with lemon-honey glaze and Philly grilled steak flat bread and a bowl of Mac “n” cheese in parmesan panko, provolone cheese sauce. Our dinner was delicious and well prepared with just one minor exception: some of the rice grain in the risotto wasn’t cook all the way.
Our server was very friendly, professional, attentive and helpful and made us all felt welcome. She even brought out orange slices, upon request, for one of our younger family members and didn’t make us pay for the orange slices. We didn’t expect this level of service in a busy establishment on a Saturday evening during rush hours. Kudos to the management for hiring the right server!
This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seatings and private dining spaces for larger groups. The outdoor patio has a very cozy fireplace which makes this an ideal place to have good conversation with friends and family and people watching. Interior has a very classy, easy decor with a bar in the middle of the dining area. The food is consistently good through the years. We will continue to eat at...
Read moreDuring our recent visit to Seasons 52, we were treated to a mixed bag of experiences, ranging from innovative cocktails to inconsistent service. Here’s a comprehensive review of our evening:
The standout feature of our visit was undoubtedly the espresso martini, which arrived in its cocktail shaker, a unique and memorable presentation. This thoughtful touch allowed us to enjoy two glasses of the delicious cocktail each, enhancing our overall dining experience.
In addition to the delightful cocktails, we indulged in the stuffed mushrooms as a starter, a savory and satisfying introduction to the meal. Each bite was flavorful, setting a high standard for the courses.
For the main course, I opted for the steak, while my friend enjoyed the salmon salad. Both dishes were above average, showcasing quality ingredients and skillful preparation. While they didn’t quite reach the level of culinary excellence we had hoped for, they were nonetheless enjoyable.
However, the evening took a slight downturn as the restaurant approached closing time. Our server informed us that she would be leaving, leaving us in the care of another server. This transition was handled somewhat abruptly, and we felt a noticeable shift in the level of attention and service we received.
As we savored the last sips of our cocktails, the staff began cleaning tables and floors around us, even extinguishing the candles on our table prematurely. While we appreciated the efficiency, it did detract from the overall ambiance and left us feeling somewhat rushed.
In summary, Seasons 52 offers innovative cocktails and above-average cuisine, but the dining experience was marred by inconsistent service and premature cleanup efforts. With a bit more attention to detail and seamless transitions between servers, Seasons 52 has the potential to provide a truly exceptional...
Read moreCame here twice within a week. It was recommended by my cousins who lives in San Diego area. This was located in Westfield La Jolla mall. Great choice to hang out without anyone limiting our stay. The Inside was modern and hip but cold due to the ac blowing hard and it was so dark as well. I would have a hard time seeing the menu. LOL I tried their outdoor patio area even if the weather in the evening was mid 50's. The large heat lamps were not even turn on but it was pleasant as no wind was coming in. I also ate in the dining room but it’s just too dark for me.
We have ordered a bottle of 'Chateau Ste Michele Merlot' with my cousins. We ordered 'Pesto Chicken & Mozzarella flatbread' to start. One of my cousins ordered their 'Caramelized Scallops' and the other had the 'Charcoaled Sea Bass'; both were very good!! I had the Filet Mignon and Lobster' ...so good! Also, I have their Cesar salad and tried their Kona Grilled Crusted Lamb Loin. Soft and flavorful. The broccolini and mashed potatoes was good together with the lamb loin. My husband’s tried their Wood Grilled Pork Chop. The pork was trended and flavored but I didn’t like the red cabbage either it. All dishes were generously less on calories of what I would expect. I was surprised for the quantity. Prices are decent for the quality of each dish.
Service was excellent and fastas well as friendly and helpful on selections. I would definitely come back here again. Atmosphere was great for chillin' and just hangout in the outdoor seating, and talking to friends or family. I would definitely...
