I stumbled upon this awesome, family-owned sandwich shop while shopping in the area, and I’m so glad I decided to stop in for lunch! The menu is packed with delicious-sounding options, but I went with the Turkey Day Any Day—because who doesn’t love a good Thanksgiving sandwich? It totally hit the spot! What really stood out, though, was the above-and-beyond service. With every sandwich, they include a fresh chocolate chip cookie—a sweet little surprise that made my day! While waiting for my order, I saw multiple people picking up online orders, and one moment really stuck with me. A mom came in with her young daughter, and the owner immediately recognized her, asking, “You have a son at home too, right?” before adding an extra cookie to her bag for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and showed the kind of genuine, caring service they provide. Between the great food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the kind-hearted staff, I’ll definitely be back! If you’re looking for a sandwich shop that goes the extra mile and offers delicious sandwiches, this is the place to go!

Great place, talk about nice experiences. I saw this place on my way to sprouts and decided to try it out. It was not too busy at around noon. The cashier welcomed me in, asked if I was a first timer and recommended me a few sandwiches and subs. I ended up ordering a Pesto Turkey Sandwich which was bomb by the way. The bread is perfectly moist, it packs everything in. I hate it when everything falls from the back on the first bite. Not here! It has enough turkey, I eat a lot, so I always want more, but its the perfect ratio between bread, protein, and veggies. I got son bbq chips and raspberry drink on the side. They then added a cookie which I did not order, it was just the perfect touch. I think getting a cookie it's a first timer thing, and if it is, man, what a way to make you feel heard and welcomed. For sure coming back!

Located in the 'Loma Square Shopping Center', corner of Rosecrans St. and Midway Dr. with plenty of parking. We tried their 'Killer Klub' and 'Bagger Cheesesteak'. Both sandwiches were delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted, yet so soft inside. I was surprised to receive a small Bagger Cookie & candy with my sandwich which is so thoughtful and a great complement to it. The cookie is soft and so good that I ended up buying a pack of 2 big cookies. Service was welcoming and friendly. Every employee I encountered was attentive this Saturday noon. The restaurant is clean and organized with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Overall, we had a great lunch experience here and will definitely return. They make delicious sandwiches for sure.

GOOD sandwiches.

That's literally it, just "good".

Yes, the place gets packed and they have these awesome chocolate chip cookies that are probably the best in San Diego!

However, the price for the quality/size ratio doesn't add up. I try to think, maybe this place gets "packed" due to the people around these parts not really knowing where to find GREAT sandwiches. I can only assume people don't know that there's a Rubicon less than ten minutes away. Heck, the Sprouts in the same shopping center make decent sandwiches as well. Morena Market makes better sandwiches too and that's only 7-8 minutes away from here. It's not like this place hooks it up with meat either. I just can't comprehend why people would spend almost twenty bucks for a lunchable-sized snack. I'm a 200lb man with an appetite, not a Yorkie or an infant!

Worst thing is, if you come in after 1pm (they close at 3:30pm) to buy something as simple as a cookie, they run out! I get it, they're delicious. But why not make more than your usual so you're not sold-out two hours before closing time!?

To think I use to recommend this place. Take your butt to Sprouts and get a bigger sandwich for the same price as this place! As far as the cookie, you don't need cookies to begin with. No cheat day allows any type...

As I was in area, I gave this place a chance. Chalkboard menu being so unreadable, from a distance away. As I won't be upfront to read it, nor to access a printed menu. I await to ask an employee: "How many of the hamburgers here are 1/2 pounders?~" Whoever of "The Gourmet Bagger Sandwich Shop" answered --- gave a (no sic) snobby (at least) 3 minimum seconds, until he turned around to reply a word. The words had NOTHING to do with the question that I asked.

Because the face & tone/voice that I was given by "The Gourmet Bagger" employee? --- all were an indirect answer of telling me: 'Go somewhere else.'

After I walked out of TGB Sandwich Shop, I saw a customer, whom I had detection that he knew of this place --- as a repeat customer. I had to ask his "opinion of the personnel that work here." (his comment) "They are quiet people; no one talks to you here." As I replied "I agree" --- and immediately exited. Happily, because I knew the entire time that my analogy was correct --- and was proven so by...
