I live in Texas, and I am visiting San Diego Sea World today. I had a very happy day. After a day of playing, I was tired and planned to have some noodles with my girlfriend. I found this restaurant on Google. I read the reviews very well. The food is really good, but I think the service attitude is very unfriendly to me. A middle-aged man with long hair received us. When I was about to finish eating, he was asking the guests at the table next to how the food was. Normally, he should come to me. I will also be asked here, but he stared at me for about three to five seconds, and then he passed it to me and asked the person next to him. Those two tables were all white. Why did the guests at three tables only value those two? table? Just because I am Asian? It seems that he himself is also Asian! I am also in the service industry, and I will take every customer who comes to our store seriously, but I have been to Los Angeles several times and found that many Asian restaurants treat Americans differently from Asians! Is it just because you are afraid that Asians will not tip? Is it good for me to tip every time I eat? Both are 20%. Can you tell that you can’t earn my tip even if you haven’t served me? Do you know that I will give more than many Americans? What's more ridiculous is that I asked for a little chili oil, they actually charge me 50 cents! ! I have been to many states and have eaten many Vietnamese noodles. Your family is the first to charge customers for chili oil! Why don't you charge money for four sauces? I asked for one chili oil and you charge money? And you don't tell me about collecting money! I'm not bad for that money, but I don't like this place very much! Recommend not to come to this place! ! !

Delicious authentic flavors and great service. Recommended place to warm up with a hot bowl of phố and finish with a cà phê sữa đá! The bowl of phố hit the right spot. Clear broth with a hearty flavor. Generous portions of noodles and protein. I never have enough bò viên (meatballs), but who doesn't want more? The regular size bowl is already fairly large and with a solid portion. I probably should have shared that with my 6 y.o. and been rightly satisfied. Instead, I ordered two bowls and had way too much leftover. The chả giò (egg rolls) were long and slender, I prefer the short and stout ones, but that's just me. They arrived at the table quickly. Perfectly crisp shell, delicious flavor. My personal favorite, the cà phê sữa đá. It was just so spot on. Many places pre-make it, but I appreciated the drip and mix yourself method. Not too heavy on the condensed milk, just perfect. Overall excellent!. A definitely recommended return visit.

It would have been a 5-star rating if they didn't try the deceptive billing. Here's what happened: We had lunch there on Wednesday 8/5. My wife paid at the cashier after we finished. She said she chose the 15% tip option on the $97 bill (no itemization), which ended up $112 total. The $97 pre-tip amount seems not right to me so that I asked the cashier for an itemized bill. And it turned out that they already pre-charged a 18% tips that brought the total to $97 and tricked my wife to pay an additional 15% ($15) tip! Had I not double-checked, they would easily get away with it! When I pointed it out, the cashier immediately crossed out the bill with the additional tip and said they would only charge $97. I'm 1000% sure that this is not the first time they do this. I'm not sure that how many times they managed to get away with it though. But I want to share my experience so that people can keep their eyes open when dining at this place.

I know I look like Karen asking for the manager with my genetics. Can't be helped. I'm not shocked that we got stereotyped, but still blow away the we got ripped off. Nothing you can do at a restaurant after you ate. If you are looking to try a new pho place, skip this one. Its not great and with the sketchy clientele we were around, you are better off trying somwhere else. I have my regular pho restaurants that are beloved. So I'm hesitant to break from my favorites. I would have gave them the mediocre pho, noodles that had been sitting in the kitchen all day, only plastic, reusable chopsticks, and everyone ignoring us. There were a lot of obnoxious folk that weren't treating the staff/owners well. But, I did walk in with my 7 year old whose father is Vietnamese and I spoke a little Vietnamese with a descent accent. I asked for a small bowl of broth for my child to share my noodles and broth. This is standard at pho restaurants. They gave him an extra large bowl of noodles and broth and charged us $12. When they first came out with it, I was like what gives? How is that small? But I thought, maybe the chef didn't understand and the waiter figured it wasnt worth explaining. Of course we had to ask for an empty bowl, because little kids his size have a hard to eating molten hot soup out of a mixing bowl larger than them. They didn't offer to cut his noodles, which is standard. It took us a while to get someone for the empty bowl and then acted like what was asking for was outrageous. Meanwhile he just sat in tears after burning himself, then ate two bites, leaving the rest behind. Because that's how much little kids eat, especially when you allow them to have a sweet drink too. It felt sus. Like he was playing stupid to overcharge us $10. Don't waste your time here. There are too many good pho...

Ordered the Large chicken Pho as part of my ongoing research. Additional cost for large $1.50 at 7:35 pm on a Monday and Tuesday. Rating system 1-10. Best being 10.

Parking 9 plenty of spots Location 9 safe Cleanliness 9 Atmosphere 9 Service 9 I was seated immediately and they took my order as I was still walking to table. Time 10 - Sensational. I was in and out in less than 20 mins. The food arrived both times at around the 3 min mark. Fastest service yet. Presentation of vegetables 9 - Basil fresh and wet. Lime fresh and spouts clean and dry. Presentation of pho 8. Portion 8 definitely felt like a real large. 10 Chicken 7- My only possible issue. Shredded  white chicken breast amounting to quarter of a chicken breast. It was tough both times but the sizes made it manageable and mixed in well. Broth 9- Excellent, Piping Hot, Dark, flavorful, great body, no need to add condiments. Noodles. 10 Excellent round thin rice noodles. Piping hot. Spices/condiments  7 only Saracha sauce but clean and not even needed. Aftertaste  9 Filling 9 No need for dessert. Payment 9 Quick. 17 Price 8 $14.53 Great value. 18 Minimum tip with credit card. 10- Up to customers discretion with no pressure. Chop sticks 6- no disposable ones, Large reusable ones in abundance at the table. But felt and smelt clean. Bonus points 10 - features fish tank, nice clear TVs with no Volume. Napkins,  yes Napkins on each table, dry clean and crisp with no begging or guilt tripping with you having to ask for some. Take...
