As a lifelong customer of Allen Edmonds, I’ve always trusted the brand for its quality and service. However, my recent experience at the 310 Sutter St. San Francisco location has completely changed that. Jay, the manager, was not just rude—he was openly dismissive and unprofessional throughout the entire transaction. I went in excited to purchase a new pair of shoes, but his attitude ruined the experience. He made me feel like my business didn’t matter, which is shocking coming from a brand that prides itself on customer loyalty.
After seeing other reviews on Yelp, it’s clear this isn’t a one-time issue. Multiple customers have reported similar rude and disrespectful treatment from Jay, and it’s unacceptable for a store that represents a premium brand like Allen Edmonds. Read moreI had a good experience shopping with this location a couple years ago but recently had a very unpleasant experience. I shipped some boots to this location to pick up. I was informed on a Monday that I had to come in to pick them up no later than Friday, otherwise they’d be sent back and I’d get refunded.
I called to ask for some leeway since I can’t make it in for a few more days. The person I spoke to on the phone could not have been more dismissive or unhelpful. It wasn’t “policy”, just normal procedure to only hold orders for 5 days, but he was unwilling to make any exceptions whatsoever, and did so without any empathy or attempt to understand why I couldn’t find the time to make it to Union Square during the week to pick these up.
Because this person was unwilling to hold boots that I already paid $350 for, for an extra couple of days, this location has permanently lost me as a customer. Thanks, I’ll take my business to the Walnut Creek location, where the owner is...
Read moreFirst time going into the Allen Edmonds store and Jay was super helpful and took the time to let me browse on my own and when I had any questions, he had the answers and suggestions. GREAT customer service! Glad I did not order the shoes online and instead chose to go into the store to get fitted. Tried on 3-5 different sizes and Jay did not mind having to run back and forth for different sizes for me. He was super professional and greeted me once I stepped into the doors. Unlike at Nordstrom in downtown, sales associates never once greeted me even though I walked around a couple of times. Thanks again for the great experience and Allen Edmonds has gained a very satisfied customer. Will definitely recommend others to your brand.
