Club Six — Restaurant in San Francisco

SF has some great spaces which make this cramped space in one of the worst areas of town, get such low marks. It always looks pretty rundown and the bathrooms I'm general and toilets specifically are always pretty gross. They never have anything to dry your hands off with either. I always feel incredibly dirty when I leave. The drinks are always ridiculously expensive but that is par for the course in SF. The bar is always cash only which is annoying although the bar staff is nice enough the security sucks. I once lost my debit card and when I tried to look for it they told me to wait outside and they would talk to the staff and let me know. Small club in a seedy part of the city, so leaving in the middle of the night can be a bit disconcerting (the bums on the street are generally harmless though). Inside, it's multiple levels, but feels very cramped and maze-like. Beware!: the basement has essentially ZERO ventilation/cooling. (when packed, it'll easily go above 85F which trust me, is very hot for a room). The decor and bar styling is minimal/bare; a bit on the dirty and unkept side. The drinks are nothing special and SF pricey (markup 30%+ of a restaurant drink). One 'nice' thing is that the line overflows onto Jessie St. (which is more like a large alley) so at least you don't wait on a busy street when the line is long. Two story nightclub popular for gay-themed events. No food, one bar on each level. Gritty, urban atmosphere. If sweaty gay guys in gear dancing to loud music in a dark basement is your vibe, you're in luck. Don't expect anything beyond basic bar service, and bring a physical credit card or cash -- as of 3/23/2025 they still were not accepting Android or Apple...
