Hmm... I cannot recommend this place against all the other reviewers. I got the Sunshine roll ($18) and the Sexy Me roll ($23) that people rave about. They are stingy with fish. The visuals are deceiving. I just had rolls that used 2x more fish (and fresher) and cost 60% of the price at Rumble Fish in Scotts Valley, so it's hard not to feel that what you get for what you pay here is pretty abysmal. I mean, >$50 for this is definitely insane. The rolls were nothing special, in fact I didn't like them to be honest. Please, it's easy for rolls to be good: just be generous with main ingredients and make sure they're fresh. This place fails on this front, and is very expensive if you consider. Plus, it's true: be prepared to wait for half an hour or more for your food if there's a nonzero number of customers in the restaurant. There's only one person making the rolls, so you'll wait forever if you're unlucky. I normally don't mind waiting if the food is worth the wait, but in this case it isn't. The owner couple seem like nice folks and I wish the best, but I go to restaurants for the quality of food, not services.

Stopped in here for a date night a few weeks ago and knew we were in for something good from the start! The owner was attentive and helpful and made everything himself. It was all amazing too! We started with the miso soup and got a side of the seaweed salad too. The soup was delicious and the seaweed salad was the best I’ve ever had truly. Then we got the California roll, the dragon roll, and the spicy tuna roll. All fantastic, tasted so fresh and the shrimp was so crisp! The restaurant itself is also so cozy. Nice low lighting and the bench seats are so comfortable! Loved the wall art too. We definitely enjoyed this place and ended up ordering pickup tonight! We got the California roll, dragon roll, miso soup, and seaweed salad again. All just as great as the last time! We will keep coming back here for sure and I would highly recommend you check it out!

Stopped by Fishmandu Sushi for a late afternoon meal and was really impressed : both by the quality of the food and the variety on the menu We ordered quite a few things: • Miso Soup — light, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect. • Naruto Salad — fresh and crisp, with nice textures. • Salmon Sashimi — super fresh and buttery, definitely one of the highlights. • Rocking Roll and Futomaki — both solid, nicely made rolls with good balance between rice and filling. • Salmon & Avocado Roll — creamy and well portioned, very satisfying. ********• Sunshine Roll — this one stood out. A bit pricier, but it felt like a premium roll with great flavor and presentation.****** Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was casual but clean and comfortable. This spot stands out for its freshness and fair prices. Would definitely return.
