They added a tip to my drink which I did not authorize. Even though it was only $3 I feel as though that is a really untrustworthy thing for a person to do (and takes advantage of people who are already, most likely, intoxicated).
Context: I ordered at the bar and my total came out to $18. I tapped my card and went to put my phone in my purse. When I looked up, the bartender had already flipped the iPad screen back to himself-- to which I did not think anything of at the moment.
Later on, I made a joke to my friend that $18 was pricey for one drink and she mentioned her exact same drink was $15 but that she pressed "no tip" on the iPad so maybe that's why. I was confused because I didn't see a tip option and I would remember this because I ALWAYS tip bartenders (I also work in the service industry.) I then realized that he had to have tapped the tip option after he flipped the screen back to himself as I was putting my card away.
I am contemplating disputing this charge with my bank. It was only a few dollars, but to me, it is more about the principle of taking advantage of people-- especially those who are perceived to be under...
Read moreSave yourself the trouble and do not visit this establishment. Horrible service, rude staff, and you may very well be waiting at your table for up to 20 minutes just to be greeted after being sat. On a Saturday evening you may wait in line forever and be asked to pay a cover charge once you finally reach the front. What an extreme waste of money. After being seated be prepared to wait! You may be ignored by wait staff regardless of how busy it is. Not even a hint of remorse will be given to you when someone finally decides to happen by your table to offer even a glass of water. Rude, slow, and a waste of money will be the only words on your mind. I would give zero stars if that was an option. There are tons of better options than this poor excuse for an establishment, even in this same neighborhood. The food here is not worth your time and frustration and the music was a cheap playlist a child could have put together. Horrible, horrible, horrible! If visiting from out of town or a local, do not waste and ruin your evening with...
Read moreOnly country bar in SF with live bands on Wednesdays and line dancing lessons on Sundays! Located in "The Triangle" on Fillmore where a lot of the nightlife is happening in The Marina. For as packed as the bar gets on the Fri & Sat nights, it's fairly easy/quick to get drinks! I think this is due to not having a specialty cocktail menu and they staff at least 3-4 bartenders (who are all very friendly and awesome!). If you want a little Texas flair they have Shiner Bock, Deep Eddy, and open early during Texas Longhorn Football games (several TVs along the walls and a projector). The DJs (on Fri & Sat) spin mainly country but you'll get the occasional Top 40 thrown in to spice it up. Our friend got the back area reserved once, which serves as a VIP/bottle service area, for her birthday which was a great way to be with your group during those busy night. Since they don't serve food you're allowed to bring your own food and I highly recommend their house Moscow...
