Tacko — Restaurant in San Francisco

I've always raved about this place, so I'm sad to give a 2-star review.

I wanted to dine here after The Bold Italic's microhood event in Cow Hollow. I hadn't been here since February of this year, so I was looking forward to getting a grilled fish taco Nick's way and elote.

The place was busy, at least in my opinion because it was usually empty whenever I went in the past. I placed my order and the food came out pretty quickly... Perhaps too quickly....

The crispy shell was stale, so it didn't have that crunch I wanted. I sort of had to gnaw on it so I could take a bite. The fish was overdone, so much so I thought it was chicken. I was about to bring it back, when my roommate assured me it was fish when she looked at the texture of the meat. She ordered a fish burrito and she had the same problem. Her fish was overdone, and there was one part that was so burnt, she couldn't eat it. The only saving grace was the elote, which was delicious with the right amount of spice.

I'm not sure if they cooked ahead because it was busy... But I'd rather wait for a...

What happened to this place? The food used to be delicious, but that’s not the case anymore.

I went to get lunch there the other day, and everybody in my party was very disappointed!

My burrito was flavorless, packed with pico de gallo that tasted like pizza sauce, and made my burrito a watery mess. They didn’t put sour cream, and guacamole was only added to one end of the burrito. The tortilla was raw and soggy

My friend’s shrimp tacos were also bad. Packed and overflowing with pico de gallo (??), so much cabbage and little sauce. The tortillas were dry and falling apart. She also ordered an elote that was extremely overcooked and soft.

Ordered a cheese only quesadilla for the kid and they managed to mess that up too. It had barely cheese on it and was burnt and way too crispy.

Definitely not returning...

DON'T DINE IN HERE!

The food was good but it took over 45min from the time we ordered til we got our food. And that's after our repeated visits to the counter to check on our food. They kept telling us 10 more minutes. On the 3rd visit, they gave us a basket of chips with salsa and guac. Mind you, we already had the chips and salsa we purchased. By the time our food finally came, we could only finish half of it because we had filled up on chips. Had to throw away most of it.

They definitely prioritize delivery orders at the detriment of dine-in orders. While we were waiting for our food, easily 50+ delivery drivers came through for pickup. They even had a dedicated line for them. There was a constant line of 10-15 delivery guys with...
