Golden Gate Valley Branch Library — Attraction in San Francisco

This is the sweetest branch library in San Francisco. Tucked along side Union Street in Cow Hollow, the library offers a great kids activity program, films for cinephiles and a quiet space for reading or computer use. They are not completely opened as yet because of the pandemic. I stopped by their takeout window and presented my Summer stride worksheet. This is a small, local library with a lot of potential, but my last visit left me concerned about the staff's professionalism. A staff member handled a complaint about a patron's personal hygiene in a very public and insensitive manner. It was clear that the staff member was not equipped to handle such a delicate situation with the empathy and discretion it required.
