For any price, it's not fun coming home with bed bug welts. Just because it was on the penninsula of San Francisco they can justify 2 beds for $150. Other rooms that were available in the area came to the 2-3 hundred range.
Even when we used my own bedding, the bed bugs in the mattress and in the carpet found their way to my arms, hands, leg, belly. And I'm allergic, one bed bug bite leaves a welt on my inner forearm 2 inches in diameter. I woke up to fell something there on my arm and half awake ad brushed it off me. It must have been an engorged one because it felt like a little ball, but I threw it off the side of the bed when I did find it had fallen on my mattress next to me. Yuck! I went home with 10 bites. My 7-yr-old son also has bites on his legs and arms, my poor baby he's itching like crazy. I saw the evidence of the bedbugs on the mattress in the form of thier feces and then there were little spots of blood, possibly from the squashed bugs in the bed.
Sleep did not come easy when the neighboring guests stayed up much of the night drinking and arguing. There is no staff on site during the night, if I did decide to complain, they wouldn't have been able to do anything about it.
There was a gap under the door of the room that let all the cold air in, I had to put a towel under the door to keep out the drafty air.
There were fair accomodations T.V., tile shower and bathroom (but it could use a bit better cleaning with a coat of bleach to get rid of that mold in the grout). It was stocked well enough with soap and toilet paper. I used my own towels instead of the rough white ones left by the staff (they need to use more fabric softener). The bed creaked loudly when you moved, but was comfortable except for the bugs crawling at night.
Well it was available, reasonably priced for the area, and we needed to stay overnight and sleep. I didn't have much a choice. It was no wonder why when I did finally sleep, I could feel things crawling on me and I dreamt that bugs were trying to get me.
My skin can't take another visit to this hotel if we ever do have to stay in S.F. overnight again. Sorry Lombard Plaza Hotel. But I didn't go home happy. Next time I'm going to keep looking, or look up north past the Golden Gate bridge instead, or maybe even sleep in my...

I had very poor customer service from owner, Roger, and site manager, Jenish. A family checked in shortly after midnight the night we were there. Very thin walls and non-carpeted floors meant we heard everything ... for three hours! I called the front office at 12:30am, letting it ring several times over two calls before the phone was picked up. The night clerk assured me he'd call the room and let them know they needed to quiet down. If he did as he said, they did not follow suit. While I know there may have been little the night clerk could have truly done, my problem is with Roger and Jenish. After several phone calls during the days following our stay, I finally spoke with Roger who told me he'd speak with Jenish and one of them would call me. The next day, I called again, and was told that Jenish and Roger were not on site, but would be in later. It took several days to finally reach Jenish. At first, he was somewhat accommodating, telling me that Roger had agreed to a 10% refund for our inconvenience. When I began talking about that, stating that I appreciated 10%, but felt if really wasn't what should be done, he interrupted me, saying that I could go ahead and take it to social media and do whatever I wanted. He then told me that Roger had family issues, going into some detail about those, and that I should just do whatever I wanted. I hung up and decided to post my experience so that anyone who plans to stay at this property can have some information pre-booking. The property itself was fine; the customer care was beyond reproach. There are plenty of similarly-priced motels/hotels in...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights, and while the location near the marina was convenient and the in-room fridge and microwave were useful, my stay was overshadowed by a deeply concerning incident on my last day.
On the morning of 12/5, just before 10:00 AM, someone entered my room while I was in the shower. A lady knocked and then let herself in. My daughter was alarmed and ran into the bathroom to tell me someone was entering. I quickly got out of the shower, dressed, and went to the office to report the incident.
The young lady working the desk said she was new and didn’t know why this happened. I asked if there was an emergency, if someone needed to contact me, or if it was housekeeping, but she had no answers. Instead, she told me she couldn’t help me. This left me feeling even more unsettled, especially since there are cameras on the property that should have captured what happened.
I’m providing the date and time (12/5, just before 10:00 AM) so management can investigate and explain why someone was entering my room without authorization. Since checkout time is 11:00 AM, there was no reason for anyone to be there.
This experience scared my daughter and made me feel unsafe. It’s unacceptable for a hotel to allow unauthorized access to a guest room. I strongly urge management to ensure room keys are changed after every use and to implement better protocols to prevent this from happening again.
Unfortunately, due to this incident and the lack of resolution or reassurance from the staff, I cannot recommend this hotel or return for our planned...
