Overview:  quick service not rushed.  Good menu selection.  Parking can be hard.

Meal/Time: Brunch/Saturday at 1030ish. Seated: 1029AM Ordered: 1033AM First ordered item arrived: 1046AM

Decor/Atmosphere:  rustic diner/speakeasy feel with outside seating.   Nice dark wood tables.  Wood paneled walls and large windows.

Service/ Front of the House:  seated us quickly.  We had an 11AM reservation, arrived early and were seated.

Service/Serving Staff:  wait staff not too personable... just a "Hi, are you ready to order?".  I don't even know her name.

She did come back to top off my coffee...once.

Guest Wi-Fi available....password is on the wall. Food:

Hangover omelet ($18) - bacon, ham and sausage in one dish!!  Pretty good.  For toast, I only got two half slices of bread.  The country potatoes were good, tender and well seasoned.  The only negative was the temperature of the dish...everything except the omelet filling was only warm.  The filling was still pretty hot being surrounded by the eggs.

Monte Cristo Waffle ($16) - Not really a true monte cristo... the waffle sandwich was not egg or battered dipped.  The ham was replaced by battered chicken strips.  The chicken batter was unseasoned.  There is syrup in a squeeze bottle at the table.  No butter was served with the dish.

Coffee ($3.50)  temperature is perfect.  Not scorching hot like American coffee, but not the barely hot one you get in Europe. Value:  Not a bad value for San Francisco Brunch.

Restroom: single unisex restroom.  Really really narrow.  Not handicap friendly.

Will I come back?:  I would only for the coffee and the...

My family had a brunch at this place. The service was terrible. The first waitress messed up the order, paced wrong order, but she said no and it was not her mistake. Ok, We accepted. Then we realized that we ordered scrambled eggs, they gave wrong one. Another waitress came and said rudely and loudly about “the kitchen made mistakes“ and left without saying any apology. Then she brought the scrambled eggs but we were about to finish. Throughout the whole experience, they didn’t say any apology, and even showed anger to us.

I noticed that customers complained the service before, and the restaurant replied this is not their standard. But obviously, nothing has changed. The worst experience ever. Awful experience!! and maybe raciest, at least the manager/the lady who speak with accent.

I suggest the restaurant makes it more clearer about what is the standard of the service as a restaurant should do. Maybe the current service level is...

I ate a good meal here, but it wasn't great, it felt like something I could cook myself at home. My wife and mother-in-law, however, had a terrible experience. When we all ordered together, my meal was processed correctly, but their meals were not. They both recieved completely incorrect orders. They received incorrect meats, breads, and egg styles with their breakfast meals. We spoke with the waitress, who was nice, but not helpful. Later we spoke with the manager/owner. She never apologized and later brought us an extra order of scrambled eggs. She was clearly annoyed and did not smile as she quickly dropped the plate on the table and left. Altogether, it was a strange experience and a place I would not recommend to anyone else. It's not the worst restaurant in the world, but certainly far...

After a morning running around the area, my brunch experience was great. The standout dish was their Harwood smoked honey-cured bacon egg Benedict. Served with seasoned potatoes and two soft poached eggs draped in homemade sauce atop an English muffin, each bite was a blend of flavors without being overly salty – truly impressive! For those who enjoy their meals with a bit more heat, the “CAN I HANDLE IT?” burger will not disappoint. This Angus beef creation comes loaded with pepper jack cheese and is elevated by habanero salsa and chipotle aioli that provide a kick to your palate. Accompanied by crispy fries and shaved red onions for added texture – this burger lives up to its name. If you’re a fan of spicy cuisine, consider this your go-to order!

🙌🏼 Yummy Brunch! let’s go! Pls follow @ssindyeats for more yummy brunch spots. 🥂🧇🍳 @thenewspotonpolk 📍San Francisco @thenewspotonpolk is definitely a hidden gem! A homey, easy-going neighborhood cafe offering all-day breakfast. We came here for brunch and the food was simply delicious! The chicken fried steak was so tasty, lightly fried and coated with some creamy gravy. The French toast was sinful, while the hangover skillet was everything you hope for after a hangover. 🤣🤣 Don’t forget to try their yummy drinks, the Dr. Oz green juice was so refreshing, tasty, and healthy. ❤️ Amazing food and service! What more can you ask for!! We can’t wait to come back and try the other food.
