I have been here a couple of times before for the bubble tea, at $7 for a featured tea, it was good, but too pricey for me to frequent.
Decided to check out their pokĂ© bowl today as I saw it on their Google Maps menu, and at $8 sounded like a good lunch⊠but itâs $8 for barely 12 oz (measured the cup). Itâs more like âpokĂ© cupâ than pokĂ© bowl.
I understand that itâs up to a business to set their own prices, and they can set what they wantâbut my issue with this is that the pictures posted outside and featured on the self-service menu when ordering are not accurate in terms of how much food they feature; their advertised pictures display a full bowl of foodâso you may be expecting a little less for $8, but not for it to be that small!
The pokĂ© cup was good, but with a few flaws: the seaweed âtoppingâ was just⊠a folded sheet of seaweed (not even cut up), and I also found a hair embedded inbetween rice grains.
It is unfortunate, because Lilikoiâs drinks and their food are goodâbut this place only stands out for being overpriced. (No complaints about staff).
I would like to give this place more of my business, but the competition around here is simply too stiff, with boba and poké available on nearby Chestnut St for much fairer prices. My review stands at an average 3 stars, to balance the positive with negative and give...
Read moreI've been here twice now, and I've enjoyed their drinks thus far. The first time I went, the gentlemen that worked there welcomed me, and explained their theme and drinks. It's a vacation theme, and their drinks are tropical based. The drinks all look like they're on tap, which I think is a nice touch. They also let me sample a few. I really enjoyed the mango horchata, but I was there to try the POG. It was delicious, and so refreshing on a hot day! I didn't mind it being sweet because it was so hot, but I don't know if they do sugar adjustments.
I came back recently to try the mango horchata, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I've had a strawberry horchata before (which they also have), but it never occurred to me that it can also be done with mango. The creaminess of the horchata toned down the sweetness of the mango. It also had a slushy consistency, so it didn't feel too heavy after drinking the whole thing.
They also have mochi donuts!
They have kiosks now where can order your drink, but I think they have one register dedicated if you want to place your order with a human.
As the for the boba itself-pretty good! I don't think they're as sweet as other places, which is fine because the drinks make up for it.
Definitely check this place out for some...
Read moreI just stopped by because I was intrigued by the sakura milk tea and was greatly disappointed. When my drink came out, I immediately knew something wasn't right. It was way too dark to be a milk tea and tasted like coffee. I tried to explain this to the staff, but neither of them spoke much English and kept insisting it was tea. Sakura foam on top of black tea isn't a milk tea, for one. My drink didn't look anything like the picture which showed a drink that had tea mixed with creamer and creama on top, and this was clearly coffee with sakura foam on top. Finally, I just asked if they could make the sakura matcha instead and they barely understood what I was talking about. At first they told me just to place another order, but I asked if they could make the other one instead. It looks like this one was made correctly, however they didn't ask me anything about the ice or sweetener level, so it was way too sweet. They also made us wait for the correct drink between other customers, which was frustrating as my husband was circling the area waiting for us since there is no...
