Not a huge fan. The menu is actually very well put together, food is good, oatmeal is not as good as it should be but other breakfast options such as the oven omelette are on par. The cafe portion for drinks are fantastic and they have oat milk so big stars there. What drives this establishment down is the staff being very unfriendly to almost a point of rudeness, one male staff member in particular was rude to some of the patrons making them move tables not asking nicely and reprimanding another patron for making a simple mistake of grabbing someone else's order. Read moreThis is a great spot for remote work or just grabbing a quick bite w friends. I had the hot chocolate before settling in to work, then ordered the tomato sandwich for lunch, and both were delicious! The servers are super nice and friendly, and if you’re lucky you’ll see a few cute dogs come in while their owners get coffee. The atmosphere is one of a cozy neighborhood cafe, and you can get good work in or sit and watch the cable cars lumber by. I definitely recommend stopping here, and I’m quite jealous of the locals who can stop by all year round!
Do note that they ask any remote workers to get food at the cafe, or only spend an hour working there. That way they can still make money and serve hungry people...
Read moreThe cafe is a stage for a cheesy daytime soap opera; the playful quarrels of the friendly couple who run it are good theater; she is industrious and efficient and the husband is contemplative; the food is merely adequate and hence I stick to bottled drinks only. I continue to wonder if they have a signature dish. If they made the place less dowdy and provided agreeable food, it would make a fine neighborhood cafe but they have run out of ideas; pandemic must have been tough.
