Green Beauty Nails and Spa — Local services in San Francisco

I’ve had my nails done here twice. First time was fine, but the second was not good. I specifically made an appointment with Helen the second time because I had seen great reviews / had a friend recommend here. In short, Helen was there, but did not do the service. I didn’t realize after booking with someone in particular I had to verify that was the person giving my services. I get builder gel and have been for a long time. The tech doing it there did not seem to know how to do builder nor remove it properly. She was trying to pry off my old builder with cuticle cutters. Additionally, the shape/lengths of my nails ended up completely different between hands. I also asked for nude with chrome and they opted to use yellow green colored chrome. Not ideal. I would not recommend this salon for builder. Separately, I asked if I could get an aura design and was told no, which I felt was very odd.

These are my natural nails, so now I just have to wait for them to grow out of the triangles half of them were filed into. By the way, this cost $90 + $20 tip.

Green Beauty Nails is truly the best and my absolute favorite nail salon in San Francisco! Helen and her team are professional, helpful, and kind. I always enjoy my conversations with the team and look forward to catching up with Helen.

When I first moved to San Francisco 4 years ago, I visited countless nail salons with the hopes of finding one that I loved. Green Beauty Nails was it for me. After my first appointment, I was hooked. The experience is so lovely and the team is incredibly talented. My nails always look perfect after a visit. There have been moments when I have asked for a darker shade or a lighter shade and Helen always suggests the perfect color. She knows her stuff! During Covid, Helen has also continued to make the salon feel safe and clean.

I have been on and off with this nail spa because on one hand they’re a couple of blocks from where I live but on the other nail technicians are hit and miss (some are great and others either average or terrible).

If you do choose to come here one of the ones that’s great is Michelle Nguyen. There’s another person who’s very good & she’s also the manager her name’s Helen and the reviews you read here are pretty accurate. She’s great at nails, but rude in general.

if you book an appointment with specific people and leave notes you wont necessarily get the technicians you asked and booked slots for. I saw a bunch of comments about it too so this isn’t a one off experience. That’s likely what drives the mixed reviews.
