Family Dinner, generously portioned for just $15 a person. At the corner of Hyde Street cable car turnoff — a plus. A few pictures adorn the wall reminding of the long Chinese-American history of the neighborhood. A go-to when local and seeking the familiar.

Simple, clean storefront and reasonably priced Chinese in a neighborhood where everything else is very expensive. The food is delicious. Kung Pao Chicken had a deep plum sauce addition to it – quite tasty. Sizzling Rice soup was clear and had good flavor. Chicken and broccoli chow fun was solid with nice smoky flavor.

Sun Kwong is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I come eat here anytime I work from home and they make me feel so welcome. Fast, tasty, excellent portions and reasonable prices. The beef chow fun is particularly good!
