When I’m in San Francisco, you’ll find me here.
As someone who has had sushi in several cities at different venues in Canada and the US, I can happily say that this is one of my favourites. Went with my wife, first time visit.
Staff was polite and the food arrived very quickly. The tea was good, and wasabi was fresh. Menu has tons of options, something for everybody so it's definitely a good place for non sushi eaters. They have ramen and a number of cooked options as well as sushi.
My wife got fried chicken ramen and I got the “Pick 3” option, going with Salmon, Smoked Salmon and Tuna Sashimi. The order came with rice and salad as well as miso, as is customary when getting a box. The fish was thick, with the perfect temperature and consistency. I find it rare to find a place with such ample sashimi. Do note, they add $2 for each sashimi order (4 pieces each) on the "pick 3" so that meant $15.95 plus $6 at time of review. Totally worth it!
We also ordered the crown jewel of tempura: spicy salmon tempura rolls (10pc). I'm a fan of tempura rolls to begin with, but my wife was skeptical. After trying one, she had to have a few more. We both noted it was a little spicy, but milder than sriracha or jalapeno. Top recommendation.
Overall, couldn't be more pleased with this place. If you're near Chinatown and you need a good go to Japanese restaurant, this place is the cat's...

Came by this place for a lunch session, and it wasn’t bad. As you walk up to the place it’s at the corner, and the door is on the side. Came here mid-day on a Sunday at approximately 2PM and got seated pretty quickly. There was no wait so there was no issues with that and got offered a water on the get go. Ordered the bento box and it seemed to be pretty good with value for $15 dollars. Tried the Mango Spider Roll and liked the texture of the tobiko with the avocado. Thought the Mango was a little too sweet. Also had the Jay Roll and the hamachi was fresh and flavorful.
Other Notes: -Wings were pretty typical and just...
Read moreFood was great overall, loved the "real california roll" and teriyaki chicken. My girlfriend got the ramen and said it was pretty good, but not the best she has had. My brother got the chef's special nigri, and enjoyed trying the wide variety of fish at a great price. The view was nice, looking out onto China town. Wait staff was good, but nothing special. We got served miso soup for free as an appetizer, and small cups of ice cream for desert which was nice and unexpected. The food did take awhile to come out but I saw them pack up at least 6 pickup/delivery orders while we waited, so they might have been more busy in the kitchen then it looked from the...
