Alright, I live within five minutes from Teaspoon and I use this place to catch up on work and errands at times. Teaspoon is considered the only true boba shop outside of chinatown in located in Russia Hill/Polk Gulch. I really like this place no matter what. Service is always welcoming and timely, but the sticky floor is a no-no. I'm not sure if they mop or wipe their floor. When I get home I often take off shoes before walking on hardwood floor. That uneasy experience of driving with sticky sole on gas pedal is unnerving. Today I pop in after work because I was craving boba drink and something sweet. Either that or apple fritter at Bob's Donuts. Since I've try everything on their drink menu I went ahead with something that I never had before pina colada with boba was the choice. Good coconut and pineapple flavors not oversweetend just perfect balance. Warm boba is something I never like. Your first sip should be cold and boba at room temperature or refrigerated. If sticky floor and warm boba are corrected this place is truly a gem and earned five star rating from me. I'm Albie representing district B-6 don't be shy to...
Read moreThis is my favorite boba spot in SF because they use real fruit and real tea. You can tell the difference in quality from places that use powders. My favorite teas there are the grapefruit, the ladybug (when its featured), taro, jasmin milk and oolong. But everything is delicious. I love the teas so much that I have actually never tried their other offerings, although they look delicious.
I have also been there a thousand times and have never had anything but friendly staff. I know serving the rich can be tiring, so I really appreciate their kindness. It is a very loud hangout environment, but Ive taken earbuds and worked there a lot. There isnt a ton of seating, but most people dont stay and Ive never had to wait for a seat.n ill
The downside is that the neighborhood is really expensive and if you get tempted to get food nearby, you'll go bankrupt! But the bookstore across the street is amazing!
I honestly think only one other boba place in the nearby cities, that Ive been to, is as good. Asha in Berkeley is as good as Teaspoon, but the taste, menu and environments are different enough that everyone should...

Friendly service, great variety of drink selection, high class vibe of the brand, and excellent quality of products offered. Plus this place is clean and well organised behind the register, which is a massive plus for anywhere that serves fresh teas with juice in them! And to mention there's a nice seating area and free guest Wi-Fi. Yay! 🎉
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Grass Hopper and Liquid Gold. 😎
I drank the Grass Hopper in 3 ways. Sampling the individual flavours each first, and then combining them for a refreshing amazing flavour combination!
The Liquid Gold's main flavour of Oolong really set the undertone for the cream, and the honey boba was so soft and warm! Delicious as well.
I would recommend everyone to visit this place for a tasty and refreshing drink escape...
