Macondray Bar is a hidden gem in San Francisco, with a charming and inviting atmosphere that is sure to delight anyone who visits. The decor and ambiance of the bar give off a cozy and intimate vibe, reminiscent of the beautiful Macondray Lane neighborhood.
One of the highlights of my visit was the outstanding service provided by our waitress, Kitty. She was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a pleasure to chat with her and her warm and welcoming personality really made us feel at home.
Another great feature of Macondray Bar is that it's dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for dog lovers like myself. It was wonderful to be able to bring our furry friend along and enjoy a night out together.
In addition to the cozy main floor, there is a space on the second floor that can be rented out for events, which is a great option for parties and gatherings.
Last but not least, the cocktails are outstanding, and surprisingly affordable given their quality. The bartender really knows their stuff, and their creativity and expertise are evident in every drink they make.
All in all, I highly recommend Macondray Bar to anyone looking for a unique and memorable drinking experience in San Francisco. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and dog-friendly policy, it's a great place to visit with...
Read moreSEE EDIT: The worst service I’ve ever had. Rude, guilt tripped who I was with, and cornered them until they cried. Completely unprofessional and I’m appalled at the service I received.
EDIT: Please read the owners response to get an understanding of the professionalism and service they display here. We were never kicked out and also seated immediately upon walking in, so it's clearly an entirely fabricated Ad Hominem attack by the owner of the establishment and they don't even know what instance this was (probably happens a lot.)
To put some more context: we came with a group, someone else in the group paid the bill i.e: we didn't even look at the check at all. Someone in my group forgot their purse and when they went back inside the restaurant, was cornered by multiple staff and yelled at for not tipping high enough. Sounds like the Owner of this "family establishment" doesn't pay their employees enough. Also their "Lobster Roll" is overpriced and sub-par.
But thanks for the laugh and showcasing your professionalism and grammar skills, Aaron Paul and...
Read moreGreat establishment and vibes overall here.
Had time to kill before an early HOPR resy so got some cocktails here beforehand. Never got my bartenders' name but started put with a cool female who made a great ryebold fashioned. Things got a little busy and a gentlemen came in to help where we trying to socialize.
Drinks started coming out slowly where the owner was trying to help get things moving and after some passive aggressiveness between the bartender and the owner the vibe got super awkward and thr mood died instantly. Tried to give the guy bartender some grace when he appeared to cut himself and creative freedom to mix us up something unique but it took a while and none of us really liked the drink. We were almost late to our resy too but no sweat off our back to do a power sober walk. Jk we were still drunk.
Nonetheless, it didn't affect me personally and we'd be happy to come back again to such a fun and...
