A local favorite! Cool little sandwich shop nested in The London Market. High quality ingredients, great portion size and a really nice staff. I got the “Spicy Carlo” with fresh Acme bread and Molinari meats. The menu rotates weekly - this week they also had the “Crabby Patty” and the “Chicken Caesar Wrap”.

I won’t deny that the sandwiches are good. The ingredients are fresh and top quality, the sandwiches are assembled well and don’t fall apart into a mess, and overall they make a fantastic sandwich.

But I think the prices are outrageous for the quantity of food and the service you get. The spicy Carlo sandwich I got didn’t look anything the pictures from the other ”reviews.” The two guys working there didn’t seem thrilled that I was coming in to spend over $20 on a small sandwich.

As a small business owner in San Francisco, I understand the exorbitant cost of running a business in the city. But I think the Hornet needs to offer something more in order to justify their prices. Maybe throw in a $0.25 snack size bag of chips from Costco or a pickle spear 🤷‍♂️.

Regardless, I still think it’s worth trying their food. It truly...

One of the best hidden gems in the city. London Market is an awesome high end liquor store with only top notch selections and The Hornet is in the back making a rotating menu of delicious sandwiches. So far I've tried the BLT, a chicken sandwich (forgot the name), and the chicken Caesar. All of them are great. High quality breads and meats. The 2 staff are super friendly too! One of the best sandwiches in Pac...
