2/11/20- I ordered the pancake breakfast with a side order of fruit via Uber eats. Upon receiving my order I realized my order lacked syrup. As everyone knows unless you’re ordering a super sweet pancake style, syrup is very detrimental.

Luckily, I was only approximate a block away from the restaurant and was able to walk to the restaurant for the missing condiment. Considering I had paid extra for delivery I was rather upset initially. However upon greeting the manager/cook on staff, he quickly corrected the issue and even added an incentive due to the inconvenience.

Upon returning to my hotel I was able to actually enjoy the quality which this café serves. Bacon was surprisingly thick and crispy. Blueberry pancakes were made with fresh, perfectly ripe blueberries and offered a pleasing portion. The syrup was almost like honey in consistency and glazed everything it touched. My eggs were a little rubbery but with scrambled eggs, it’s easy to slightly overcook them. The side of fruit was so so as most of the selection (melons) are currently out of season.

Overall, I’d most definitely revisit this location to try other things this local whole in the...

What an AMAZING gem of a place. Eric, who served us behind the bar, REALLY set our experience and exceeded our expectations. He was so warm and friendly and kind to us. We're unfortunately here due to a medical family emergency and needed a small break from the hospital walls.

The natural lighting, open front, and brick wall sets such a great mood and vib. We have fresh ice cold water at the table. Hot fresh coffee with cream and sugar.

We opted to try the breakfast pancake tacos (mix and match three for $20). I got one savory one, sweet and one S'mores. I wanted something sweet but also wanted eggs, so win-win. They were SSOOO good. The bacon was crispy (and I LOVE crispy bacon. Don't give me that floppy stuff). The eggs were fluffy and cheese so flavorful. The sweet marshmallows and chocolate on my sweet tacos really hit the spot for me.

I will be telling everyone about this place. I don't know how it's not packed in here. Cannot wait to come back and visit...

Finally! Something different and new! The village is such a vibe!! A little escape from the city. ❤️ I love this place! The food from Karibu East Africa was so exotic and delicious at the same time. Granted, this is my first time having East African Food and it did not disappoint, it was such an FUN experiment!

OMG! The Mishkakis (beef skewers) were my favorite! So tender and juicy, while the samosa was so crispy + tasty- perfect with the ginger sauce. The Chips Masala was so addicting, imagine french fries + ketchup with a hint of masala. The Kuku choma (grilled chicken) and the Samaki Choma (fried tilapia) are a must! Tasty and tender!

The owners were super friendly, funny, and welcoming, the food was so tasty!! The chef came out and gave us a little history lesson on how + why African food was influenced by India and the British. 🙌🏼 So cool!

The Village offers American-Mexican breakfast/brunch daily, and East African dinners on Friday + Saturday....

Stopped in for breakfast at The Village and walked away very satisfied. Classic American diner fare, done right. I ordered the standard breakfast plate — two eggs over easy, seasoned home fries, crispy bacon, and toast with a pat of butter. Everything was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were golden and well-seasoned, and the bacon had just the right amount of crunch without being overdone. The eggs were spot-on, and the toast was warm and generously buttered. We also tried their specialty pancake taco. It came topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and powdered sugar. Sweet, rich, and indulgent without being over the top. Presentation was playful, served in a metal taco holder, and it actually worked really well for keeping it all together. The service was friendly, the portions generous, and the quality solid. If you’re looking for a hearty, well-executed breakfast in a cozy spot, The Village delivers.
