TL's Kitchen — Restaurant in San Francisco

This is my new absolutely favorite fried chicken!! Move over Chick-fil-A, KFC and anywhere else!! This place has FRESH juicy delicious chicken at all hours. I came here in between clubs/parties while out in SF and randomly found this place. At 4AM, I walked in and this place had minimal groceries, pre-made refrigerated meals, AND the best chicken ever. My family is from Atlanta and the Philippines. I've had several versions of soul food and fried chicken. This was my absolute favorite: including family recipes and home cooked meals.👌I ordered a basic 4 piece meal with potato wedges. It came with a biscuit and giant portions. I asked for ranch dressing. I was very surprised. I had to share it with everyone to help finish it while hot and fresh. The staff was very professional, location was clean, and it had a good flow of customers, even at 4 AM. I discovered another location in Oakland on Fruitvale Ave and I WILL try that one out as well. It's walk-in friendly, and parking is how all SF parking is: illegally double park or circle the block a gazillion times. It is wheel chair accessible and the menu is limited. The breading is crunchy not greasy. The chicken, both light and dark meat, is extremely soft and juicy. I love going to Krispy Krunchy Chicken it is a real big trip the guys that take your order are very very nice and very considerate for the neighborhood they are in and all the madness on the outside don't pay any attention to that the order takers are on their toes and know about safety I always order the chicken wings the whole chicken (I really have to change my opinion about this restaurant if you like your chicken cooked in fish Grease go to this place they cook their fish and chicken in the same grease so I'm going to give this up one star because you can really taste the overbearing fish in their fried Chicken so don't go here) thank you for the management responding to my review I stand by what I say I work in the neighborhood I just went there on Tuesday and ordered me two legs hoping that I was wrong but the chicken still taste like fish and like a month ago whoever it was behind that counter it was a lady with dark hair saying that she was a manager and she admitted to saying that their chicken is cooked in fish Grease and also when I went by there Tuesday I wanted to double-check it was an African-American gentleman behind the counter and I said could I have two legs and when I got to work I tried them and it was so bad with fish Grease taste I might as well have ordered fish it was that bad and I work in the neighborhood I have to go down the street and get my chicken now because they don't fry their Chicken...

Fantastic good! The area is a little sketch, but the food can't be denied. Amazing halal fried chicken that's generally pretty hard to find. Their portions are generous, the spices are really nice tasting, and the chicken is good quality. The sides are also really good. Loved their potato wedges and the coleslaw was pretty good too. Mashed potatoes and gravy could have used a bit more gravy, but the taste was top notch. I'm not a big fan of fried chicken (especially something like KFC). I normally peel off the skin before eating the meat. But with this place, I actually really enjoyed the crunchy skin and the meat.

Sidenote: No fault to the store, but I ordered directly from Google Maps (which used Eat Street). They sent me a confirmation and even tracked my food (confirmed- being prepared - ready). When I got to the store, they had no order with my name. No record, no information, absolutely no trace of existence of my order. I'm not sure what Eat Street did but they just took my money and pretended like they sent the order. So I just told the place to recreate my order (which they did, it's really nice because they have all their food ready to go). It was even cheaper than when I ordered it online, and it was fresh.

I can't recommend this place enough! I would absolutely go here again for some delicious halal...
