Restaurant "La Central" is a culinary gem that embodies elegance, sophistication, and a deep appreciation for gastronomy. From the moment my wife, my child, and I stepped into this refined establishment, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism.
Let me start by describing the exquisite dishes we had the pleasure of savoring. The Picanha, Beef Filet, and Swordfish were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Each dish showcased the expert craftsmanship and attention to detail that the kitchen crew at "La Central" prides themselves on.
The Picanha, cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill, exuded a tantalizing smoky aroma that instantly awakened our taste buds. As we took our first bite, the tender and succulent meat melted in our mouths, leaving a symphony of flavors dancing on our palates. The accompanying sauces and seasonings complemented the rich, natural flavors of the Picanha, elevating it to new heights of deliciousness.
The Beef Filet, prepared with precision and finesse, was a testament to the culinary artistry of the kitchen crew. Cooked to the ideal level of doneness, each tender slice revealed a beautiful pink center, encased in a perfectly seared crust. The flavors were bold and robust, with hints of char from the grill enhancing the natural juiciness of the meat.
For seafood lovers, the Swordfish was a revelation. Expertly cooked using a different method, the fish retained its delicate texture while acquiring a subtle smokiness that enhanced its natural sweetness. The accompanying garnishes and sauces added layers of complexity to the dish, showcasing the kitchen crew's mastery of flavor combinations.
The drinks at "La Central" were equally impressive. From carefully curated wine selections to expertly crafted cocktails, the beverage menu was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to providing a complete dining experience. Each sip was a revelation, perfectly complementing the flavors of our meal and leaving us refreshed and satisfied.
I cannot express enough gratitude to our server, Kenneth, whose impeccable service and genuine passion for his craft elevated our dining experience to new heights. His knowledge of the menu, attention to detail, and warm demeanor made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout the evening.
In conclusion, "La Central" is a haven for gastronomic enthusiasts seeking an elegant and serious dining experience. The food, meticulously prepared using charcoal and various cooking methods, is a testament to the skill and creativity of the kitchen crew. Every dish is a symphony of flavors that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression. Coupled with exceptional service from individuals like Kenneth, dining at "La Central" is an experience to be cherished...
Read moreDinner at La Central was the worst experience ever. Long review, I apologize in advance but trying to convey the necessary detail for potential future diners. Avoid this restaurant particularly for any celebration. It was my daughter’s 13th birthday, we booked La Central as it’s the top restaurant at T-mobile district and we wanted to do something special for this monumental occasion. Informed restaurant via Open table we were celebrating her 13th birthday at time of booking reservation a week prior, also sent a separate text through the app on day of dinner reservation and received confirmation from restaurant that they were aware. Arrived at restaurant and informed hostess of birthday celebration again as part of our booking. Also informed waitress upon being seated of birthday celebration. We had appetizers, entree, and waitress came by for dessert and no mention of anything related to birthday. Asked again about anything for birthday and was then told we don’t do anything for birthdays. I asked for the check, provided a 10% tip as the service was lackluster and inattentive, and then was asked snidely by the server was there a problem? I shared my exact concerns and made it clear if anyone would have informed me that they don’t do anything for birthday celebrations, that would have been perfectly fine, I would have planned a separate celebration- no problem whatsoever. Not a single person informed me. While walking out the manager stopped us to state he had something in the back prepared for my daughter as we were leaving. Too little too late as we were seated for over one hour and they were now attempting to remediate. Service gets a zero. Food gets a 3 out of 5 particularly for the price. Whole branzino was delicious. Ribs were fall off the bone. Brussels sprouts I would not order again, undercooked and very hard texture. Bottom line, there are numerous better options at this price point. Staff is cold and inhuman, unlike most local...
Read moreFood poisoning! From dinner last night. I had the beef, & only shared the edges of the dish with my two other dinner guests. They all had stomach aches a few hours later & for me I got the worst of it because I ate the most. We missed our whole day today, a trip to Vieques, the money isn't what bothers me, my dad is only here visiting for 4 days! He had to sit around all day doing nothing. & the part of his trip here, he was most looking forward to was seeing the horses in Vieques. Almost a $400 dinner, with no booze, bc we don't drink, & the 12oz beef filet was definitely contaminated. So disgusting & disappointing. a high end dining facility, with either bad cuts of meat or staff being unclean. Im still in bed sick. Edited: I just scrolled through the reviews & saw another one claiming food poisoning! Paying top dollar for contaminated meat is criminal. So many other places available in the area to eat. Also wanted to add, our waitress was really lovely, this review is not a reflection of her service.
Since I cannot reply to the "owners" reply, I edited the post to add, it was absolutely the steak. Sorry. I do intermittent fasting & didn't eat anything before dinner. I shared all the other dishes, but no one wanted to try mine, two of the other dinner guests just had a few bites of the edges of the steak & they felt lightly nauseous a few hours later. I ate most if the steak myself and was sick for the entire next day. It took 3 days to actually feel better and I haven't touched red meat since! This is how we determined it was the steak, everything else we shared, my son was the only one who didn't try the steak & he was fine. So either the meat was bad or someone handling the meat didn't wash their hands. There's even another review below from months ago saying their whole party got sick...
