Aquatica Puerto Rico Jet Ski Adventure Tour — Attraction in San Juan

If i could give this "company" 0 stars i would. I dont usually write reviews but this is by far the worst experience ive ever had on vacation. Pedro Nieves was rude, unprofessional, and should not be a tour guide. There was nothing friendly about this man from the very beginning he made my friends and i nervous. His impatience and quick temper are not something that helps in his line of work. He was very impatient when explaining how the jet ski works . When we asked questions he would make us feel dumb and use sarcasm. It was also very hard to hear him since he had the jet ski i was using further apart from the others and his accent is very difficult to understand when hes 50ft away. When the tour barely started i was the first one out into the water it was my first time ever driving a jet ski i was so nervous i blanked and couldn't remember how to stop the jet ski i ended up reversing into a parked boat. I want to clarify i did not damage/scratch the boat in any way the boat owner was so kind and helped get the jet ski off his boat told me not to even worry. Pedro Nieves or captain Ivan whatever he calls himself however was not so kind. He immediately started berating me yelling condescending things to me such as "did you learn nothing when i was explaining it to you?" "your an adult act like it " etc. when i apologized and told him to treat me with more respect and kindness he said to me "what am i supposed to congratulate you for not thinking" one thing i do not tolerate is disrespect i do not like to be treated like a child i understand how serious the situation could've been but considering i was paying for this mans time and services and i admitted my mistake i do not accept that kind of treatment i told him to take me back to the dock and that i no longer wanted him to take me he immediately started insulting me saying i wasn't "humble" and lying saying i couldn't take his criticism when my whole issue wasn't that it was his disrespect. he wouldn't take me back to the dock parked my jet ski in the water and started harassing me and circling me with his jet ski. I got scared and started recording him it wasn't until then that he stopped and took me back to the dock. The boat owner and a friendly stranger saw the whole thing and asked if i was ok. The boat owner says he has seen this man act this way towards other customers in the past. My friends had no idea what was going on and did the tour. However when they came back they said this grown man was talking bad about me the entire time, made them super uncomfortable by making vulgar jokes and pressuring them to get in the water, and was not allowing them to use their phones for pics. In the end they said he made them pay an extra $25 for the pics he took of them since he wouldn't allow their phones which he NEVER mentioned before. Please whoever reads this do not book with this petty egotistical man i am a 24 year old who loves to travel and saves for every trip i had a horrible experience and dont wish it on anyone!! Book anyone in PR but them!! And if you still dont believe me read the other negative reviews they desperately try to hide and see their nasty disrespectful responses they are unprofessional and should not be...

WHAT A THRILL! A truly amazing experience, one NOT to be missed!

This was the very best thing I did in Puerto Rico. Initially I called Captain Ivan and we spoke for a bit. He then instructed me to text him with my availability. Captain Ivan maintained constant contact with me via text messaging which was wonderful. His messages were extremely informative and exceedingly motivating for my upcoming experience. The jet ski experience goes as follows: I was extremely nervous as a first time rider but he assured me I would be ok. He got the entire group into the water after the safety procedures. I was a bit panicked hoping that I wouldn't hit another person in the group. BUT "REVERSE" something you will find out once you ride with him LOL! Captain Ivan tried to put us in a formation... YEAH RIGHT! We all had no experience and I don't know what he was thinking. Needless to say that DIDN'T work which was hysterical. All of a sudden he said "FORGET IT FOLLOW ME" and then he just took off , at which time I thought this Puerto Rican man is CRAZY and I am in big trouble. Eventually we all caught up to him and he said none of us were ready for him. While stopped, it then became a history lesson which was nice he's very knowledgeable. And then he TOOK off again, this time we all caught up to him quicker. He praised all of us all saying better, yet still not ready for him... OH GOSH! As he did another history lesson all I kept thinking is what's next. Yes he took off yet again, this time we were all with him! SURPRISE CAPTAIN IVAN! LOL.... we your Pirates are fast learners! It was time for us to go to the deep water. While stopped, he made sure he was very detailed as to what to do and how to control the jet ski along with any waves. OH CRAP! I must mention it is the beginning part of the Bermuda Triangle. Basically he said go straight into the waves. NERVE S set it but I did it! Yoo Hoo! By the time we finished with the deep water he allowed us to ride freely for a while which was nice because we are now comfortable with the jet ski! I thought about taking my own pictures but then decided not to, I just purchased the pictures he took which I am so glad I did! He took some amazing photos of the group something I would not have been able to capture. I will definitely ride with CAPTAIN IVAN any day! I promise you will enjoy it as much as I did..

My 1st time in Puerto Rico and I had a blast... I was looking for jet ski lessons and I decided to pick Aquatica bc of all the great Google reviews... You guys was not lying, this was the best tour ever. 5 stars all the away around. Captain Ivan is a a fun guy with a big personality... I'll just give you a little summary of what I went through... Well I can not swim, I am terrified of water but I'm a all around athlete so my fear of water wasn't going to stop me from experiencing a jet ski so I decided to have big Cojones (balls) in Spanish and just do it.. Please whatever you do get the picture package he offers...these pictures he takes are great and will be memories for a lifetime. I won't steer you wrong with this.. Now onto the tour he gives you a review of the jet ski then you begin leaving the San Juan Bay, afterwards he takes off and leaves you to catch up. It's a little scary at first but man afterwards you will get the hang of it. Captain Ivan wanted me to get the whole experience by jumping in the Atlantic Ocean but I told him several times I was scared and could not swim. He talked me into it and when I took the jump he captured the best pic ever of me.. Ok I had a little panic attack after I hit the water lol but he calmed me down and helped me onto the jetski and gave me some words of encouragement and I swear I was able to to hit the highest speed of my jet ski all the way back to the marina even at times standing up ang hitting the waves... So to whom ever is reading this there is no need to go to any other jet ski rental on the island. Thank you Captain Ivan for an experience of the lifetime. My family and friends loved the...
