Sail Old San Juan — Local services in San Juan

Our trip on the Chili Pepper with Capt Sebastion was fantastic. I'd read reviews for other San Juan companies where the sunset cruise ended as soon as the sun went down, which was far from the case here. The trip lasted from 5 until about 7:30, pulling into the dock as it got dark. There were 3 couples and very comfortable seating for all. Sebastion was the perfect captain and host. For instance, he took us into the ocean, but only after checking carefully with everybody to make sure that sounded enjoyable (it was!). Also, near the beginning there were a few light sprinkles, with possibly more on the way, so he offered everyone the opportunity to get off at the end of the dock and get a 100% refund. One couple, concerned it might rain, took him up on that offer - unfortunately they missed an excellent sail. Another nice thing about the trip was the boat itself which was far more stable than I expected (but also quite speedy as a former racing boat). Plus Sebastion was highly experienced and explained what he was doing at all stages and what we could expect the boat to do. As the sun went down we all toasted the sunset. And then the total surprise - once we got back the Capt told us we'd all get a 50% refund. I couldn't believe it, and protested, but sure enough a 50% refund appeared on the credit card. Apparently the discount was because the drinks weren't cold enough and also we'd paused to drop off the one couple. Which was true, the drinks were only cool (not cold) because the ice truck had failed to show that day. But what an honorable move that really wasn't necessary. My suggestion - this is the...

The captain to this excursion was horrible, rude and disrespectful. Called him for directions he said he does not answer the phone when I informed him about the directions he proceeded to tell me I could not read. He was ready to leave when two more couples was to take the trip when I informed him to wait that me and my niece were not in a hurry for they also paid, he started to become more irritated. Once the excursion started and he was talking about puertorico he started to speak in a negative way, when I corrected his manner of speaking it become a debate. When I informed him about his professionalism and the way he continued to argue in front of other tourists he than decided to refund there money but told me I will not be getting mine. When I wrote a review on TripAdvisor he responded with saying I was under the influence of alcohol and was using foul language in front of everyone which did not happen, he continued with saying that I changed my behavior dramatically and that certain people should not drink, when this was not the case at all. I guess he feels by degrading me for standing up to him on his professionalism will be good for his business. I do not recommend this excursion at all. If you owe a business keep in mind that the excursion that are being given are not cheap. We expect respect and professionalism from the person who is doing the excursion and if you are living in the island dont degrade it. This was by far the best time I have had in a long time! My wife and I wanted something very relaxing and fun while we were enjoying ourselves here in beautiful San Juan, PR ! This was exactly that!

From the arrival to the marina which was very straightforward and very easy to find to the time we left Captain Jo was very helpful and accommodating!

Maybe 2 minutes after we set sail the bar was open! The drinks were great, and definitely fit the occasion! The local beer is awesome! A definite must-try dont think you'll leave without having another! Dont worry! The drinks are very generous and they kept them coming!

The views were outstanding and some of the most beautiful I dont think you would get without this awesome ride! The captain was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of trivial info which we enjoyed so much! Also, if you would like recommendations on anywhere to eat or things to do he is the guy to ask!

If I could give this 6 stars instead of 5 I would !...
