A true local artisan bakery now in the heart of Santurce. This place is another jewel of locally owned food endeavors. Although no seating available you can grab a great cup of expresso a delicious croissant and comfortably eat it at the standing counter looking at the avenue or just keep walking to your destination, your choice. The heart of Levain is the bakery itself. You can see all the action with your own eyes. The oven, mixers and bakers. Also visible are, high quality whole and freshly ground wheat bags so you can bear witness this place takes its craft extremely seriously. We bought a croissant , cinnamon roll and a Country Sourdough to go. All of them excellent. The coffee is top notch also. I'll return...

So excited that Levain has arrived to San Juan! We have been fans of this amazing bakery for years and we used to have to go to Aguadilla to get these sweet goodies. This bakery is like no other. They offer all sort of expresso, café con leche, cortado, latte’s, you name it. You really come here for their world famous Sourdough bread which and financier cookies. They have so many more options it’s crazy. It’s so much fun! Super excited! Welcome to San Juan...

Stumbled upon this place because the coffee shop I was going to was closed. I am so happy the other place was closed and forced me to pivot to this place. Wow fresh well made croissants and espresso. No seating but a little standing area for you to eat and sip your coffee while looking out the window or reading the local paper which they had a stack of. Definitely coming back for the guava and cheese...
