Taberna Selfies — Restaurant in San Juan

Selfies is a little piece of Spain in San Juan. The tapas are authentically Spanish, with the croquettes being my absolute favorite—whether it’s the ham, codfish, or a surprise off-menu specialty, their quality is truly exceptional. The wine selection is great, with options for every taste and budget. The staff is very friendly and diligent. The place is mostly full of smiles and laughter, which adds charm to the vibe. I like to visit often and have been more than pleased with every experience. It's a great after-work meet up spot for drinks and small plates. 🍷✨🍷

P.S. It gets really crowded every evening from Thursday to Friday, so there's a high probability you may have to join a waiting list (of 45min-1hr) if you arrive past 5pm. We ate here and had appetizers. I asked for fries, but with the language barrier, we ended up with home fries with hot sauce. We got the issue corrected and waitress brought the thin fries. We ordered sausage that we did not like, but never mentioned it to the server. The serve and manager would not fix the issue on the fries and charged us for both. The manager was so rude to me. This restaurant is by FAR the best restaurant I have found in Puerto Rico after over 5 years of living here. Sure you can go to 1919 and pay $300+ for 2, but it is a completely different atmosphere. I have eaten here countless times and the food has ALWAYS been spot on and very consistent. The wait staff are AWESOME! Very friendly and very attentive to the tables.
