Let's talk about Amor y Sal.
The place is modern, with a luxurious vibe.
Extremely Instagrammable.
We were the only ones in the place when we went to Amor y Sal. The waitress served us quickly, was super friendly, and had a great attitude.
We ordered a lot of things, including malanga nachos, which were delicious.
We also ordered mofongo with churrasco. It was on another level, with a soft churrasco with tons of flavor and an excellent texture.
I also ordered a pork chop can can with the rice then had grandma's seasoning.
And a Chocolate Lava Cake, warm but with a firm mantecado. Fresh from the freezer.
Everything was delicious, although I would have liked the pork chop can can to be softer.
The only problem I came across was the waiting time. We where the onlyone, and I fell it took too long. Also parking; If you go, I recommend going to the parking lot on Paseo de Diego.
Go straight there, because otherwise, you'll be going back and forth. And the back and forth is frustrating. But otherwise, I...
Read more1 star because... server took our drinks order (3), and (2) appetizers... everything was going well. We waited for a little while for the sever to take our lunch order, but the sever didn't stop by the table anymore. I called the sever 3 times (from a distance) and made eye contact 2 out of the 3 times. After waiting a while, I called another server, and she stated, she saw me calling our sever. She stated she was supposed to be our server. I informed her that we were no longer interested in ordering any more items on the menu because we waited for a long time and wanted our check. To my surprise, the restaurant manager/supervisor never came to the table even though the server mentioned she talked to the manager. We paid 100% of what we had at the restaurant. (Usually, restaurants will offer a discount for the inconvenience, but not at this restaurant. One of the appetizers we ordered was the nachos, and they...
Read moreWe love coming to this place. Their menu items are creative and their portions are just right. I love their mahi mahi with coconut rice and their fried cheese balls with guava sauce. Actually, most of their appetizers are great. Our table also ordered steak and loved it. The service is good, albeit sometimes slow depending on how packed it is. Most of the times we’ve been here, we haven’t had to wait to be seated. Their cocktails are very good and they make consistently good Aperol Spritzes. Their desserts are also great. Walking distance if you’re in the Santurce area. No parking, but you can park in the Ciudadela multi level parking behind and walk the 3-5 mins there. My only comment would be a slight off smell in the place (kind of like wet mop? Humidity?) and would recommend the owner to invest in an odor neutralizer or a scent that doesn’t clash with the aromas of the food. We’ll continue to come...
