Wonderful coffee shop that I wish existed when I was in school. More than enough seating, large communal tables perfect for studying / working on laptops. Needs more outlets but I understand if they want to preserve it as social atmosphere rather than coworking space.
Love that their outdoor seating has an overhang so you can choose not to burn under the sun.
I ordered the matcha latte (as I don’t enjoy coffee) and was disappointed to see they make a matcha concentrate (I’m guessing?) by dumping matcha powder and water into a squeeze bottle and shaking it up. The drink tastes powdery and like cheap matcha.
Their pastries and other drinks as great (have had their iced teas and my friend got a coffee) but hopefully they step up their matcha game to round...

My husband and I stopped in yesterday morning to pick up coffee and a pastry on our road trip further north to Pinnacles National Park. When we looked at their pour over menu it was so hard to choose just one, so went all in with a cup of their drip and blueberry rosemary scone while we were waited for our two pour overs: -COLOMBIA RICARDO SILVA -BRAZIL DATERRA
We were blown away by the quality of all three cups, the barista nailed the pour over preparation, and the scone was the perfect blend of savory with a dash of sweetness and herbal notes that rounded out our excellent experience.
Highly recommend Field Day! We will be back for sure next time...
Read moreLooking for a local coffee shop with good vibes and great coffee? Then look no further! I am so glad we stopped by Field Day (twice!) on our short weekend trip to SLO. Field Day has two parts. There's a coffee shop on one side and a wine shop on the other. We first stopped in midday for some wine. I had a very refreshing glass of Sauvignon Blanc (okay, I admit, I had a couple glasses!). They also have a wine shop with a wonderful selection of wine (a lot of great mineral wine options too, if that's your fancy). We then returned the following day for coffee. There's plenty of seating. It was giving Los Feliz/Silver Lake/east side Austin, Texas vibes (if you know, you know). It seems like a very popular spot and I definitely see why....
