It was.... Okay. The location was great, right off of California so it was very easy to get to the freeway but also to downtown. The room itself was not as great. It didn't look fully cleaned, there was dirt all over the baseboards, and paint chipping off the walls in the bathroom - enough that you could see the color it was painted last. There were only 3 pillows for the bed, which was a really awkward number for two people. We were never able to turn on the overhead ceiling fan because when you pulled the cord the entire thing shook. The mini fridge also didn't work, spoiling our food. The ice machine was broken. They had parking, though, but the spots were incredibly tight to get into and I have a small car to begin with. Overall, if you don't really care about cleanliness and just want a bed to sleep in near downtown... This is your place. If you want pretty much anything related to a clean hotel experience,...
Read moreDisregard all the lunatics w the so-called 'Bed-Bug' sightings, reviewed here. 1st of all, I've been staying w this Family run smaller Inn, for years when passing thru SLO. Decent, accommodating people - compared to most. And I travel extensively w my work. I don't know 'which' room numbers that these whiners have been staying in, I've not ONCE, been bitten by anything - but I will take every Bug in the County of San Luis Obispo, for the QUIET, Family FREE atmosphere that this property maintains. That is, the absence of screaming, running wild, whining children/babies to blight my stays - versus the "typical" free-for-all crowd you have to be subjected to, at Chain type establishments. Class, quiet, and all Adults, this place is a winner and I give them 5 STARS!! Thank God for an Inn like this - they barely exist anymores. Young families have squeezed such places out. Love NOT kid-friendly 'Los Padres',...
Read moreThis place is barely a motel, it’s just a run down apartment complex with the kitchens gutted out to make space for extra beds. It’s overpriced, any savings you think you are making staying here because it’s barely cheaper than other options is not worth it. It’s dirty, loud, and the wifi is the worst. I heard every word the people in next room said all night long. There are massive cracks in the walls. Their super econo lightbulbs font even turn off all the way and have a sickly orange glow all night. There were mosquitos flying around. The front desk is fused to the side of over stuffed garages with blaring TV’s in them. I felt like I had to crash at a pal’s trash studio apartment. They do less than the bare minimum here. Do yourself a favor and...
