I recently visited Nomo Domo with my husband and it was such a wonderful experience. We started with the cucumber salad, agedashi tofu, and gyoza. The cucumber salad was outstanding, so crisp and flavorful it really stood out from any I’ve had before. The agedashi tofu was cooked perfectly, paired with tender eggplant and a sauce that was rich and satisfying. The gyoza was fried to perfection, absolutely delicious.
For our mains we ordered the pork katsu rice dish and the duck breast ramen. The katsu was incredible—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and truly memorable. The duck ramen was deeply flavorful, with a broth that made every bite comforting and special.
The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the staff attentive in every way. To top it off, the owner gifted us a cheesecake that was phenomenal—silky and creamy with a bright lemony flavor that made it unforgettable. Nomo Domo is a gem in SLO and I’m already looking forward...
Read moreVery clean nice looking place and staff are very friendly but Not worth to wait long time for not great food. If you are expecting tasty Japanese food / fusion, this is not a place. I saw many people were eating Ramen noodles but the soup had no Umami and it was not Tonkotsu flavor soup at all, we ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. Tables are placed each other too close, barely enable to walk through and you have to hear everything people next tables are talking. Menu had a huge error as beer from Niigata as from Okinawa. Only positive aspect is that they carry some good beers / alcohols made in Japan. Happy with beers but very disappointed with food. FYI, I am originally from Japan and my expectation toward food/ experience with food would be a...
Read moreFeeling super lucky that I stumbled onto this little slice of heaven in regards to Ramen. Our friends from Sequel introduced me to Charles when Nomo Domo was offering a soft opening. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with soft lighting within their modern interior. Came back a few days later with the hubby and experienced a lovely date night surrounded by heart warming ramen with a rich tonkunsu broth which is elevated by simmering their broth for 16 hours. Their take on the duck ramen with traces of truffle oil was divine. We have revisited 3 times since and brought family and friends. If this is what they are serving now, I can't wait to see what they will be creating in the next...
