I am so tired so walking into this place and having the host stand be rude to me. Every time I go in there they are on their phone. The servers are great and have always accepted my cash payment no problem. I called the store to order a Togo at 8pm. The host informed me that they only takes Togo orders online and that it’s fine to order a Togo right now, but for future reference to order earlier because they close at 9pm. I didn’t know it took an hour to make food?? Even if I ordered at 8:45 then that should still be ok. It feels like you’re not welcome there. I began to tell her that I’m paying cash and she told me “that’s simply not possible because we’re completely cashless.” So how did I go in there several times this year and pay cash? She continued to argue with me and told me that even if I went in that they wouldn’t accept my cash. I just went somewhere else. For a franchise to not accept cash is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. She just lost a $75 order because of her attitude. If they allow their employees to be rude to their customers then they should take away that tip line. Because no way in hell even if I did end up getting the order that she would’ve gotten tipped. Customer service is clearly not important to this establishment. Like do they not understand that we are paying them?? They should learn to be...
Read moreI have never left a review for a place but this was the most insane experience. We got sat at our table, no one came to take our drink order for at least 15 minutes but people kept reassuring us that someone was coming, thank goodness right? Still when our drink order was taken, took another couple of minutes which was no big deal. What was a big deal was that at all times, there were at least 6 different waiters and waitresses sitting around chatting at the hostess stand. I understand that they were not assigned our section, but I gotta say that is a bad look! Then when our food came, my soup was cold, so I sent it back. I was expecting at least a new soup but it got reheated which was fine no biggie. Then when we wanted to understandably leave because of the crazy experience, our waiter just kept passing by our table when we were noticeably done. Not only did it take FOREVER but the bill was so high that you would think they would be working for a good tip on a big table like that. I do not blame the hostess or even our server. There is obviously a problem with management and if you’re going to have like a million servers working, let’s make sure that they know they need to do their job? Just saying. Unfortunately won’t be going back, this used to be our favorite place to go but we’ll find somewhere else. Get...
Read moreI will never go to the Chuy's in San Marcos again. This crazy lady lost her ring on her way being seated and she makes this huge scene for 20 mins to search for the ring. My group moved our table twice to help this search. The third time the lady asked us to move our table (mind you, we were trying to eat), we told her that we already moved it twice. About 10 mins later, a cop shows up (very polite) and asks to search us just so he can tell her that we did not steal her ring. So in the middle of the restaurant my group gets searched. After searching us, the cop of course did not find anything! The cop apologized to our group and went to tend to the crazy lady. The most embarrassing thing I have ever experienced! I do not blame the cop, he was just doing his job. I blame the lady and manager that did not make me feel better about the situation, after being searched in the middle of the restaurant with everyone starring at us. The manager seemed like this was not a big deal and did not apologize for what happened to us. I feel the manager did not handle the situation the right way and should not be a manager obviously. Managers should be able to defuse a situation without a guest being...
