12/20/16 4:30pm-5:30pm My friend and I came in cold n hungry. There was a nice young guy beind the counter, he was genuinely very friendly and helpful in suggestions, one had chili the other fiesta chili on potatoe (very good). Told us If we needed anything else just let him know. There was this tall thin young short blonde hair female and we watched as she took the time to wipe down the salad bar and the drink area during her shift. And then there was this very nice young guy who was Training a New Hire at the time, on how the dining area gets handled, he demonstrated everything, from greeting at our table, asking if he could clear some room off the table so we could enjoy our desert time, I thanked him for Jason Deli having it toasty, unlike most places its Freezing Cold inside and outside which makes dining out sometimes not worth dining out, and he politely told us to have a very good evening and hoped to have us back again. Folks I am in my early 40's and have experienced alot of bad customer service from our youth, but today Jason Deli employees of San Marcos TX were exceptionally on point. Didn't get chips with sandwiche.. went back in to get spoon for soup and asked about the chips. Girl at to go told me she put them in there and then asked me what kind I wanted and told her it didn't matter. So she grabbed a bag and threw them across the counter at me. After looking for plastic spoon and another girl kindly helping me get one. The to go girl stopped me going out the door and told me I got a fruit cup showing me my receipt. So she took the chips back. Get out to car to eat and yall didn't even enter the correct sandwhich I ordered and got a California club instead of Royale. So didn't get what I ordered. Read moreI love Jason's Deli food but I've had way too many issues with this location. From missing items ordered to food not being prepared properly. I called once to let them know of the issue (even though it's happened numerous times) but was met with the tone that I was lying/nothing can be done. So I spoke with the general manager and he was great, kind, straight to the point. He gave a gift card. When I used the gift card online and went to pick up my food, they claimed that the payment didn't go through and ended up having to pay out of pocket. Went to check the gift card and the payment WAS TAKEN. So double I paid. I love the food but at this point it's too any issues to deal with them again. 😕 So update, I went to see if they could see where I was double charged and they did.
