Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Sandy

Hello. My friend and I stopped by the Sandy OR store at 8PM Saturday August 3. Not a good experience. The first thing I noticed looking into the kitchen area was a garbage can overfilled with trash spilling on to the kitchen floor with the cooking area also looking dirty. Under normal circumstances I would have left then but we had been on the road since 6AM. When the food arrived my burger was cold and the onion rings although hot were burnt. I took my burger back and received a refund. My friend went to use the rest room and said it was filthy and glad he didn't have to sit down. Based on his report I waited until the next rest stop. I could not help but notice napkins and other trash on the dining area floor. After we left my friend said his chicken strips were also cold but the gravy was warm so they were edible. I would be ashamed if this was my store and I suspect if there was a surprise health department your hands would be seriously slapped. I don't want a free Blizzard from this store. I was planning to have one after dinner but not after seeing the questionable sanitation issues. Ralph...

I have been comming to Sandy Dairy Queen for 40 plus years of my life, When Bob had this Establishment it was a family place, great service, awesome people worked for him, and the food was great. I went to Sandy Dairy Queen last night and two nights before and there service is Appalling, they way they serve you and make you pull up and park to bring you your food and not just serve you at the window, but yet serve all the others behind you to bring you your food 15 and 20 minutes later is very upsetting..... When you ask to be served at the window, the employees get upset with you and will not serve you till you park..... I dont get this honestly??? I go to any other establishment or the Gresham Dairy Queen I get quick and friendly service..... and I get it at the WINDOW...... I dont have to PARK..... Totally unexceptable to watch others get served before you when you waited just as long.... What a disgrace to our Sandy Community.... Just Aweful and Shameful..... I will Not...

Showed up 30 minutes before closing, open sign was still on, spent 5-6 minutes at the ordering booth in the drive through with no response. Pulled up to the window, saw an employee inside emptying trash cans. Knocked on the window, no response. Kept knocking on the window figuring they didn't see/hear me. They looked up, made eye contact, then continued messing with the trash. Waited a few more minutes. dude finished messing with trash cans glared at me, I pointed at the open sign and he went in the back so I waited a few more minutes before leaving to see if anything else was still open only to find everywhere else closed while I was wasting time here. Ultimately missed out on eating anywhere else in town because I trusted their hours and open sign and ended up having to continue another 4 hours exhausted and hungry before I could find somewhere else to eat. Super negative experience, if you have to close early and have people working in the back at least turn...
