Our daughter wanted a Santa Barbara wedding so we started to looking for ceremony and reception venues. We visited locations from the beach to golf courses looking for the perfect spot. Upon meeting Troy and seeing El Paseo for the first time, my daughter new she had found the perfect spot.

The Spanish style of the restaurant and surrounding area made for a fairy tale setting for the reception of about 90. I had assumed the fare for the wedding would be typical Mexican style food and being from SO CAL that would have been fine with us. This was most definitely not the case. The menu options were awesome and a huge variety of regional foods and numerous vegetarian options.

Our daughter and her husband-to-be sat down with Chef Alex and picked a menu that suited them and would satisfy a wide variety of tastes. Hors d'oeuvre included sliders, that kept disappearing as fast as they could bring them out, to small bites that included Poke, carnitas and street corn. The buffet style dinner included the best salad I have ever had, Mahi Mahi, and steak plus rice and veggies. The food was delicious and plentiful. What we really appreciated was how when the bride and groom arrived after taking photos for an hour, they were met outside by the staff with champagne and a plate of hors d'oeuvres. Later Troy made sure the bride and groom received their own plated meals so they eat and get the party going.

We were fortunate that Troy had a Sunday afternoon/evening in June available (we had only started looking in January). Troy, Chef Alex and the rest of the staff (especially those behind the bar) made our daughter's wedding one of the best...

The worse dining experience ever. From start to finish not good. We had a group of 14 and everyone reported that the food was below average. I ordered the steak fajitas. And after a couple of bites I was unimpressed. The waitress approached the table and asked me how was everything. I let her know that unfortunately the steak was bland and tasteless. Not good at all. She went to the manager Victor Hernandez who approached us and apologizes, he grabs the plate and takes it to the back. Within seconds he returns and proceeds to tell me that he had tried it and it tasted fine to him. I was mortified !! For starters, I couldn’t believe that he would taste it from my plate and then he had no shame to tell me his opinion on it. I responded “Well, I’m the customer paying for it and I disagree.” He brings the plate back with a little cup of seasoning salt on the side and walks away. Needless to say, by this time I had already loss my appetite and left the restaurant without consuming the rest of it. My family are natives of Santa Barbara and going forward this experience will be passed on to our friends and family. Oh, I almost forgot the birthday cake was amazing and delicious !! I purchased it from...

This hacarne s to be the best taco tuesday place in town. such a great location with high ceilings and the retractable roof. what?! yeah totally amazing. Get there early at 5pm to beat the rush and you have a great table with a great atmosphere. And this is just the place! The food is awesome too. For just $10...it's all you can eat of delicious taco buffet. Unreal. I don't think there is a better taco tuesday option town. If you get there early, you can sit at the bar and have a drink. Another great thing is that they don't charge you for soda water....my go to bev since I don't drink....the taco meat is great....they are all good...soft tortillas and hard shell. this place knows how to do it....and if you like spicy salsa, yeah they got that too. service is good, and they refill your drinks and chips often. Don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars...

AMAZING! Chef's choice buffet for our business farewell dinner for about 85 people was outstanding. The atmosphere is stunningly beautiful, and the chef's choice of the entire menu was simply the best food we had all week. Appetizer empanadas, marinated chicken and beef on a stick, fresh ahi tuna Hors d'oeuvres, chicken pasta (yum!) Beef ribeyes, salad greens with tomato and avocado, the vest roasted vegetable medley I have ever had and folks said the salmon was the best they had had on the entire trip. But wait, there's more! Desserts included chocolate sauced crispy wonderful churros, amazing fruit pizza, mini creme brulee and chocolate bombs. Super friendly staff! Fantastic food - I would eat here everyday!

As of 9/14/2025 the menu has changed for dinner. The menu is only the pictures I have posted. Sunday is buffet style and ends at 2 p.m. Dinner starts back up at 4 p.m and the menu is only the pictures posted. They also have a drink and cocktail menu. The drinks were amazing and strong! As an appetizer we ordered the pork belly crunch and the mixed mushroom crustini. They both had great flavor! Definitely recommend getting them. As our main entrees we all ordered their ribeye plate with potatoes and vegetables. Perfectly cooked to order how we all wanted. Definitely will be coming back and recommend you eat here.

Phenomenal. We were lucky to have had our wedding reception at El Paseo in June of 2021. Troy and his team were beyond amazing, and we are so grateful to them for making our day so spectacular. Troy and Alex, the lead chef, planned out our entire evening - and everything was perfect. The decor was stunning, the food was absolutely fantastic, and all staff members were kind + FUN. They truly went above and beyond. We genuinely cannot recommend El Paseo enough, and we look forward to returning for many, many future dinners.
