Old-school, dimly-lit, bar and booth cocktail bar, dense with atmosphere. Make new friends while sitting on vinyl cushioned stools at the bar, or join old friends in a booth. The cocktails include distinctive takes on traditional mixes such as the Negroni and Old Fashioned, plus signature concoctions - all with a kick. We didn’t try the food but the menu was extensive. A place for locals and visitors but missed by most tourists as it’s a block away from the State Street tourist traps. The service is unpretentious, welcoming and classy.

Officially my favorite place in Santa Barbara. Love the original “Jimmy’s Oriental Gardens” decor. Katherine and Darcy (sorry if either misspelled) provided attentive, genuinely friendly, and overall outstanding service. Frickles + Pickletini were the best I’ve ever had. Mozz nuggs were also perfectly fried. As a Chicago transplant, I was even impressed with the delicious Italian beef. I had high expectations for this place and they exceeded them. So so impressed!!!

Fun Killer place. Cool vibes with great jazz music filtering in the back. Dave the bartender was great talking too. He served up his handcrafted beverages and even served our food outside with speed. We spent our Halloween late night adventure after our fun ghost tour next door. The pastrami egg rolls dipped in homemade horseradish sauce was a surprise hit. Zucchini was crispy and made fresh too. I cannot wait to go back.

The Pickle Room is a "must visit" to enjoy an old-school Santa Barbara bar. I have no idea how I've lived in SB so many years without visiting the Pickle Room. It enjoys a prominent spot downtown in a well-known historical building. It is surprisingly small. There is a bar and a handful of booths. Upon entry, you are hit by the red color and intimate size of the place. We visited on a slow night and shared the space with locals and tourists. The drinks were all good and the service was friendly enough. I would not call the Pickle Room a dive. Leave those boring fern bars behind and try an SB original. We...

The Pickle Room Lounge is my spot! As in, I eat here several times a week! The menu is diverse and delivers on flavor. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tried (and I've nearly tried it all). The Smitty burger is the best burger I've had in Santa Barbara thus far (and I am always on the hunt for a juicy, well balanced burger). I also am a fan of both their savory and dessert egg rolls. Sooooo good! They also make smooth cocktails with some kick. The staff is warm and friendly. What's not to like? Give The Pickle Room Lounge a try if you're in the mood for a casual spot with good vibes and even...
