Been trying to like this place, ordered several times and several different things. It's down the street from my apartment but no this will be the last time I order food from here. The cashiers always ask me if I'm "picking up?" almost like they think I'm a delivery driver?? Then they are always telling mw to hold on like they are busy but I don't ever see them doing anything that I should wait on to order food. This last time I ordered two carne asada sopes a la cartè, horchata and a beef crispy taco. What I got was one carne asda soft taco and one chicken taco. Then I reminded them about my horchata, she begrudgingly asked ice or no ice. I said Ice please and she proceeded to fill the cup to the brim with ice and to top it off with probably 4oz of horchata (mediocre at best btw). I turned around and went back to see what the mistake was about, only to be told I was wrong and that's what I ordered. I'm a peaceful guy and just agreed because I was too hungry by that point and not in the mood to talk over an aggressive cashier who spoke little English. 8th time is not a charm apparently and I will not be back...
Read moreAmazing food. Amazing tortillas wonderful staff. I love eating here but it is always absolutely freezing. I am wearing pants long thick socks, sweater, scarf, a winter coat and a winter hat and I am inside cold. ❄️ ⛄️ All the Mexican restaurants in Santa Barbara try to save money by not turning on the heat. 🔥 It could be the coldest rainiest windy storms and they’ll have the doors open and the fans on it is very unwelcoming. I often times get my food to go sit in my car with the heat on . When you go to a restaurant do you want to feel warm and welcome as if you’re sitting in your mothers home. That is what restaurants are supposed to especially Mexican restaurants. If people are walking outside in the cold rain on the winter day and they’re looking for a warm place they’re going to remember how unwelcoming it’s restaurants are and go somewhere with heat. You may save money on utilities but you’re losing customers when they choose to go somewhere warm. It is always colder in the restaurants than...
Read moreWent here with my boyfriend last night right before they were about to close and I'm definitely glad we stopped by. We were debating between Los Arroyos and Rudy's and I'm really happy we chose Rudy's. Everyone working there had a positive attitude and knew everything about the food they were serving. You would think that they'd be frustrated when they see two people walk in their restaurant 10 minutes before they're about to close, especially right after a full day of people eating there during fiesta week, but they were happy to welcome us in and tell us about the food they were serving. This was my first time eating here and we ordered the nachos (they highly recommended it). They brought it to us within minutes of ordering it and we finished it really quickly. Our waiter, Dianna, also did a great job serving us and was very friendly to us. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in...
