Review of Wendy’s (Service Experience with David)
I never thought I would have to write a review like this, but my recent experience at this Wendy’s location was so shockingly negative that I feel it’s important to document it in detail. This was, without exaggeration, the worst service encounter I’ve ever had at any restaurant.
I arrived and placed my order like any normal customer. Instead of being served in a reasonable amount of time, I was forced to sit in the parking lot for over 16 minutes while multiple customers who ordered after me were served promptly and efficiently. My food, however, never came. I waited and waited, giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe there was a mix-up, but after watching car after car receive their food, I realized something was very wrong.
Since the dining room was locked up for the night, my only option was to try to get someone’s attention by knocking on the windows around the restaurant. This in itself is completely unacceptable — no customer should have to walk around a closed building, knocking on windows just to ask about an order they already paid for.
Eventually, a staff member named David came outside. Instead of helping resolve the issue, David escalated the situation beyond anything I could have imagined. He screamed at me, cursed at me, and even went so far as to make physical threats toward me. I was left completely stunned and shaken — not only by the lack of professionalism, but by how hostile and unsafe the interaction became. I’m still considering contacting the police because I genuinely felt frightened for my safety in what should have been a routine food pickup.
This is not just “bad service.” This is a fundamental breakdown of customer care, respect, and basic human decency. Being ignored for 16 minutes is bad enough. Being screamed at and physically threatened by an employee when I finally tried to ask for help is beyond comprehension.
I want to emphasize that I am not writing this review out of spite or to insult anyone personally — but to hold this location accountable for completely unacceptable behavior. Employees represent the company when they are on the clock, and no customer should ever have to experience intimidation, verbal abuse, or fear when all they came for was a simple meal.
Wendy’s corporate team needs to be made aware of this incident. If this is the kind of service being tolerated — where a paying customer is ignored, yelled at, cursed at, and threatened — then something is deeply wrong with the management and training at this location.
I strongly urge other customers to be cautious if they plan on visiting this Wendy’s, and I sincerely hope the company takes swift action to prevent anyone else from ever going through what I...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered a meal (two burgers... one single and one double) in the drive through. When we ate the food, which was just a couple minutes after receiving it in the restaurant parking lot, we both noticed the food's taste was bad/bland. The buns were not fresh, were crumbly, and had a non-fresh taste. The meat in the burgers were also bland and not great tasting. We eat at a lot of Wendy's restaurants, and the consistency with this restaurant was mostly terrible. So much so that I went in to talk with the manager, "Darla," to tell her of these problems. When she was called from the back and approached me, she had a look of, "Oh God, why do I need to listen to some sort of complaint." There was no welcoming nor warmth from her. Her response to to the issues I raised was, "They freeze the buns. They didn't used to." And that was it. No more discussion. I don't have to tell you that the secret to any restaurant chain is consistency, and this restaurant, I would never go to again, and in fact, my wife said, "While we're here in Santa Fe, I don't think I want to go to any Wendy's again." This customer response is bad news and bad...
Read moreMy experience here has usually been fine. But tonight it was especially terrible. The drive thru worker was extremely unfriendly. the only word he said to me was “give me a second”. he would not even look at me. I was gonna brush this off because i’d also be miserable if i worked here. but i just opened my food i ordered not ten minutes ago. first off, i ordered baconator fries. i have been going here for years. everytime i order this, the fries are placed at the bottom of the bag. so they wont spill over. i was shocked to see that the fries were just thrown on top of everything. and when i opened them, they barely had any bacon. and then the cherry on top is, my chicken nuggets are freezing cold. Like inedible and hard. I just ordered them. clearly i was given stale ones that weren’t even heated properly. I work in the food industry. I am NEVER one to complain and ask for a refund. but honestly, this experience makes me never want to go to this location again. i’ll take my chances with the one on the other...
