We sat at the bar in Jackson's for pre-dinner drinks prior to meeting relatives for dinner at a different restaurant. I had no expectations. I simply needed a cocktail. It appeared all the bartenders and servers were attractive young women clad in tight black outfits, and I was fearful of service too taken with themselves to care. Was I wrong. They were all charming, professional, and anticipated our needs. My cocktails using booze from a local distillery were strong, served in an adult glass and helped my mood immeasurably. My wife's glass of Chardonnay was an overly healthy pour, and soon we were both smiling ear to ear. Coming from the Midwest, I never expected a bar and grill in Sonoma County, California to be this down to earth and friendly. Patrons engaged us in conversation and I was sad to leave for the other restaurant.

Took the train from Petaluma and randomly discovered this gem with my 6 year old. From the moment we walked in the service was stellar. The hostess was engaging, the waitstaff prompt and they were all just lovely. After placing our order of burrata for me and chicken wings the chef immediately sent an “amuse bouche” or mini app which delighted my son. He’s a picky eater at home but dove into the celery and peanut butter, carrots, sharing bits of everything with me. I was amazed when he asked for a piece of my wood fired dough and declared it delicious! I agreed and the burrata, honey, pistachio combo was perfection as well. He loved the presentation of his wings and fries, finished as much as he could, then insisted on taking the rest for later. We’ll both definitely be back and he’s declared it his favorite restaurant.

We were drawn to this restaurant based off location and mocktail options. I had the Eagle Eye Cherry mocktail, I highly recommend it for its tart, unique-fresh taste. I also had the lamb stuffed flat-bread with greek salad. I admit I was concerned about portion size until it arrived, I couldn't even finish it (pictured below). The lamb was seasoned well and paired well with the hummus. The wife had The Burger and described it as flavorful, with a perfect potato bun, and a THICC patty (misspelled on purpose). A couple of small complaints: while we praise them for their extensive beverage options including mocktails, they did not seem to have a ton of food options and the burger was "slightly dry." That being said it was a wonderful place with friendly staff and we both agreed we would happily come back. Give it a try.

This was my first visit to Jackson's and it was a quick stop for Happy Hour before we went out to dinner at another local restaurant. The place was packed and if you look at any of the pictures you see online you will see the bar area is very narrow. We were able to find one available seat at the bar so I stood next to my friend adjacent to the bar. We were enjoying ourselves and chatting with the bartenders and those close to us when one of the hostesses approached me in a not so kind manner and informed me that I was impeding the path behind the bar. Mind you, I am aware that my 6'4" frame can take up some space so I was already cognizant of blocking the path. I politely apologized squeezed closer to the bar. Not a problem. Well, it wasn't 5 minutes or so before one of the hostesses comes flying through and makes direct contact with me, jarring me from my position. It wasn't a glancing move or even an attempt to avoid me. It was clear that she was trying to make a point and this was an intentional act. She said "excuse me" and smiled while I smiled back at her knowing full well what she was doing. When she returned to her station all of the hostesses were looking my way smirking and I smiled back knowing that I would be writing this review.

Anyway, I didn't want to ruin my evening by making a scene at that point, but this person deserves a severe reprimand at the very least. I am a very kind and considerate person and would never want to impose on anyone intentionally. For reference, I was at the restaurant Friday January 21st. I hope management takes this review seriously and makes an effort to remind their staff that the building is very narrow and to be considerate to those trying to have a nice...

I recently had a horrid experience last evening at Jacks. For contextual purposes history is necessary- I am not indigenous to Santa Rosa. However, I came in 2021 not the best introduction to a beautiful community. However, there were three bars that I attended that made me feel like I was part of that community. One was Jacks, bird in the bottle and Monty’s until the recent construction. After yesterday, I’ll will never patronize jacks again. This is what happened- I entered during happy hour / as you may know happy hour is for bar patrons and high tables . All was fill - one individual was at a three set high table- I politely, diplomatically, kindly and considerately ask if you was okay sharing her table / I gave her am out because reiterated if she desired her solitude please continue and we did not want to intrude. The kind patron said no please stay. Suddenly a young waitress approached the table asked the woman that had agreed for us to join her table did we force ourselves onto her table. I let the waitress know I had already asked the woman at the table and made sure it was okay- however the waitress was rude as hell - she assumed that a person of color had no social etiquette, Didn’t care about her for a fellow person ask if it was OK to join. She questioned my moral attitude. The manager, the bar manager, Amanda and the manager of the facility, completely supported her response. It was rude. It was embarrassing. It was condescending, and it was racially motivated. I’m suggesting Bro that all people not just people of all people that disagree with bad and racism no longer...

A Great Place for a Special Occasion or a Night Out with Friends Jackson's Bar and Oven is a trendy spot in Santa Rosa known for its fresh food, great service, and lively atmosphere. It's a great place to go for a special occasion or a night out with friends. The food is delicious and there's something for everyone on the menu. The wood-fired pizzas are a must-try, as are the oysters, grilled squid salad, rib eye steak, and beignets. The service is also excellent and the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud, so you can still have a conversation with your friends. The decor is also very cool and stylish. Overall, I had a great experience at Jackson's Bar and Oven and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Santa Rosa. Here are some specific things I liked about Jackson's Bar and Oven: The food is delicious and there's a wide variety to choose from. The service is excellent and the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud. The decor is cool and stylish. It's a great place to go for a special occasion or a night out with friends. Here are some things that could be improved: The prices are a bit on the high side. The restaurant can get very crowded, so it's a good idea to make reservations in advance. Overall, I would highly recommend Jackson's Bar and Oven to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Santa Rosa. I hope this review helps you decide whether or not to visit Jackson's...
