I really like the Project Coffee in Burns Court, but I decided to switch it up today and go to this location.
The service was incredibly friendly and kind, but I’m a little dissatisfied and disappointed with how my sandwich turned out. For a sandwich that costs almost $20, my two handed sandwich was drowning in oil and sauce. I couldn’t pick it up and eat it “two handed” and after picking at the toppings on it, and eating the parts that weren’t completely dripping in spicy mayo, I started to get a bit of a tummy ache from all of the oils from the mayo and whatever oil substance they use to toast the bread (which was in puddles in my plate when it arrived)
There’s also no Wi-Fi at this location, which was a bummer. I came to work on my laptop like I do at the Burns Court location but I couldn’t find a electric socket to plug my laptop in, or Wi-Fi.
I think the owners and their children were here, because I watched a toddler age child just run back behind the counter to hug someone who was cooking or prepping food. No precautions, hair nets, sanitary protocol, and the parent encouraged it, which is kinda concerning to me.
I’m really sad about this, I really wanted to like this location, but I think I’ll stick to Burns Court.
(Update) Looking at the other unsatisfied reviews and the way problems were handled in the past, is pretty sad. Even large corporations take the time to reply to bad reviews, and offer communication to make it better. The owners must not really care. I’m a pretty loyal customer to Project, and I’ve been in service industry for over half my life now. They should be more cognizant of customer complaints, and try to fix them so we keep coming back. Not ignore us! I think after what I’ve seen in these reviews, I will take my mother to Burns Court on Wednesday, for a prearranged breakfast, then I won’t be returning to either location again. There are better vegan...
Read moreThis location is by far my favorite possibly because it's the place I 1st tried them but as a vegan on a trip for a wedding I wasn't very hopeful of finding a spot to begin my day with I was reserved to just hit up publix and carb my way through it. So I was more than pleased when I read the menu from Google, and my heart grew full with joy. We arrived and were greeted by a delightful employee whose smile matched the vibe. I had to ask... What is vegan?... The employee kinda shocked look but also a look of I get this question a lot. "It's all vegan. ".. I quickly grab a menu and begin to examine it what would be my 1st impression of this establishment. My fiancé who had run to the bathroom on entering, had no idea that this random place we had found luckily was all Vegan. I let her come back, and she asked me what all was vegan, and I directed her to the employee I had asked previously. Her what's vegan on the menu? Employee once again without ever losing their smile once again "its all vegan." My fiance was in shock and asked again, "It's all vegan?" Employee yes its all vegan. I had a breakfast sandwich with Just Egg caramelized onion with hashbrows on a bun with cheese. It was okay ( I cook my just egg different, so I prefer a less runny just egg if you add a lid or flip a bowl over on your just egg while on the grittle it will fluff up) but the flavors were good and quality of food also was good. My fiance had the avocado toast. Which she absolutely loved along with an iced Chai laté. It was one of the highlights...
Read moreI’m not sure if they were just having a bad day today- it seemed like their AC unit wasn’t working when we walked in, so they were probably just hot and in a not so “ideal” mood. Regardless, the coffee was meh .. I got an iced caramel latte and a friend got a cappuccino. The caramel latte was overpoweringly way too sweet, tasted like I was drinking sugar and milk. My friend’s cappuccino tasted sour? We got an avocado toast - which was fine, can’t really mess that up tbh. We didn’t finish our coffees, and they were $7 plus some change each. We asked if they had WiFi, and the barista said no. I was taken a back by that because what coffee shop dosent have WiFi especially in FL? And with a large seating area? Atmosphere felt a bit unwelcoming, I’ll just chalk it up to the lack of AC because it was indeed warm when we walked in. But who knows. Anyways, I personally would not go back, which sucks cause I really wanted to like them because the decor was beautiful and seemed like a perfect place for a small get together with friends or family, or even to get some work done. Maybe they don’t want people sitting in for too long, hence lack of WiFi. Not sure what the reason is tbh. We probably stopped by on a bad...
