I really do not want to give this restaurant one star. However, I visited this restaurant today 5/16/2023 at 3:45pm. Upon arriving there were two ladies and a kid that entered the restaurant directly in front of myself and my party. But we walked in at the same exact time. The host a young caucasion lady went directly to the other party immediately and asked were they first, as she was all nice and welcoming to this party, she seated them immediately. You guessed it, they were Caucasian decent. Then she came back to myself and my party of 1 and I asked to be seated for a party of two. Immediately she said wait let me go check and talk to the server real quick before i seat you. Which made us feel very uncomfortable as tho they did not want to serve us. We decides to leave and take our services elsewhere because if we're being treated like this at the door we know exactly what the rest of our experience was going to be like. Upon leaving others were entering and you guessed it they were Caucasians, seated without question. I say all of this to say I'm not a person that throws the race card around but if it acts like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck AFLAC. I am traveling with my brother whom is a professional driver for two weeks doing some investigating on businesses to see how truckers are treated on the road as I work for the Better Business Bureau and I will be following up with the manager on tomorrow. Truckers are the first set of people businesses should be honored to host in their restaurants all across this country because without them your businesses wouldn't prosper and two you never know who is investigating your establishment. This isn't the last you'll hear...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Morris, Illinois Chili's, today, for an afternoon snack. We sat at the bar and ordered beef nachos. The bartender/server told us that the Morris Chili's had discontinued serving beef for nachos and quesadillas. She said that the nachos were now only available with chicken or just cheese. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed. What kind of moron discontinued serving beef in nachos and quesadillas? Nevertheless, we ordered the chicken nachos. When they arrived in front of us, both my wife and I were less than impressed. They were very poorly made. Each nacho (there were 12 on the plate) had one little piece of chicken, (Emphasis on LITTLE) covered by a skimpy layer of cheese. Several of the nachos were at least half uncovered by any cheese, whatsoever. They tasted bland and dry. Even the bartender was surprised at how bad the nachos looked. Up until today, Chili's has benefited from our regular patronage for meals or shared appetizers. After today's experience, we decided that we will give them a month, or so, for the boss to realize his mistake, and bring back the beef. Our future patronage depends on it. At this time, I do not recommend...
Read moreGood enough food. Average service. Was over charged when credit card was used, and if a party of two can't each enjoy a $10 special and $5 margaritas, that should be cleared two bills need to be done BEFORE the order is put in. Two people did not spend $150 this way. No matter what the denial, we didn't drink $130 on 7 margaritas and 7 beers. And, there was so little liquor in my drinks I would have become a diabetic before I was even buzzed. Skip the inside, use cash and get go food if you cant live w/o it I guess. Also, how did the bar NOT have the ncaa game on? weird. Man bun alert on waiters there...must be a thing. Average eats. Nice restroom. No specials stated, we found them on table tent ads. Bar seating had a stuffy atmosphere which I also found odd. The mixer for my rocks Margarita WAS Good, I oughta know I had enough of it. No semi truck parking, about a 4-6 block walk from truckstop depending which one, there is a pizza place next to it and an adult store on the other side. Grab a pizza n a playboy is my ultimate suggestion. I didnt give one star because I have hopes for this chain, and the food doesnt totally suck, and the server did their job as far as...
