Very dissatisfied with a recent visit. First we had the worst Tom Yum soup of our lives. Just basically fish sauce broth that smelled , basically no curry paste or flavor otherwise. I regret not sending it back to the kitchen.
Both curries we ordered were watered down and substandard, even the vegetables were cut ridiculously large. The worst part is the up charge to add shrimp to your curry. They charge seven dollars (menu says 6) . I have never seen such a steep of charge for just adding shrimp even to add fried tofu on a vegetable entrée. It’s two dollars extra. None of this is mentioned by them when you place orders, but it’s there in the menu. The quantity of the curry was abysmal. I have never seen such a small portion offered. I started to wonder if this was a joke. The best thing that we had was dragon noodles again same issue after a few teaspoons you start wondering where’s the rest and I don’t know if this was just for our table because some other customers were ordering and we could tell the portions were drastically different I don’t think I’ll ever visit again. I was so disappointed as we had such high expectations and recommendations from other people who had visited before very sad that we drove 40 mins for this ! Service was take your order and deliver food. No one asked or cared otherwise for feedback so here you go.
PS: Basil rolls were miniature, dry...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Klom Klom, a Thai restaurant I’ve been eager to try for a while. As someone who loves Thai food, I had high expectations—and they did not disappoint.
The restaurant was fairly busy, but our server, who was handling the entire restaurant on her own, was exceptional. She made sure to check in on us regularly and gave great recommendations, ensuring we had an unforgettable meal.
We started with three appetizers: the basil spring rolls, chicken satay, and a fried steak dish. All of them were absolutely delicious—hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The fried steak was especially memorable, with a perfect balance of crispy texture and tender meat.
For our entrees, we chose the drunken noodles, pad see ew, chicken basil rice, and fried rice. Each dish was just as amazing as the last. The drunken noodles had the right amount of spice, and the pad see ew was full of savory goodness. The chicken basil rice had that perfect kick of flavor, and the fried rice was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning.
Overall, the service was top-notch, and the food was incredible. I can’t wait to return the next time...
Read moreStopped in for lunch at noon. Plenty of tables available despite this being a small restaurant. Nice decor. Read the menu and discovered they have only one which is used for both lunch and dinner, i.e., no lunch specials. Ordered a curry, with white rice, which was served quickly by the very cordial and efficient staff. Aroma and flavor and presentation were excellent. Very authentic with a nice sized serving. Food can be prepared at a spice level of 1-6; mine was 2 which is considered medium and was just right for me, as it was in my Goldilocks zone. Staff was very helpful and attentive to my needs. The only criticism I have is that the cost for lunch was a bit steep at $19 for the curry (no luncheon specials), to which is added a 3% surcharge to use a credit card. And while a patron can customize their tip, the default tip options are 20%, 25%, & 30%, also a bit high-end for lunch. As a result my lunch of one dish, with water as my beverage, was over $25, which I consider very expensive for lunch in Savannah. Food, atmosphere, and service were top-notch so I will come back sometime for dinner, but probably not lunch due...
