We went here on an off time, not very crowded at all. In seeing all of the absolutely positive reviews we we're excited to try it. It was not a positive experience. The service was not good. We never got the extra plate that asked for until we asked again. The server was not around most of the time. We never got water refills. For most of our meal we had no water ( they told us that they didn't have any drinks to purchase?). So all that we had was the water. Eventually the server appeared, and my son asked for more water, which he got but she failed to refill the rest of our tables: empty water glasses. So I had to call her over again and ask at which point she did refill it. At the end of all of this they asked for a cash tip... On a positive note the appetizers were all very good. The entrees were largely okay. The fish we thought was the best of the bunch, the lamb was okay but not wonderful and pricey for what it was. The kebab did not get good reviews from the person in our party, he thought it was pretty bad. Perhaps it was simply an off day but it is in such contrast to all the other reviews that I've read that I felt this one should be posted. Hope your visit is...

We kicked things off with the mezze platter — colorful, creamy, and packed with flavor. The humus dip was a standout, and the fresh veggies and warm pita made it the perfect starter.
The short rib entrée was comfort food on another level and favorite — juicy, fall-apart tender, sitting on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes with roasted root veggies and a drizzle of that rich, savory sauce. I could eat this every day!
Dessert was a showstopper — a delicate baklava roll filled with cream, sprinkled with pistachios, surrounded by a gorgeous pistachio crumble. Sweet, crunchy, creamy, and totally unique.

My friend and I loved our lunch at Silk Route.
We ordered several dishes to have a tasting and have left overs. Everything was tasty, but the real surprise was the szhechuan noodles, which we had without meat. Incredible dish. We also had a order of the deconstructed baklava cheesecake. This dessert was incredibly good. Rich and not to sweet, with a hint of floral really elevating it.
Belle was a great waitress: fun, entertaining, and attentive. She definitely enhanced our experience.
The restaurant is very clean and airy. We sat in an adorable alcove that felt very upscale. The floor seating has good spacing and looked nice, too.
I can't wait to return to try some of the dishes on the...
