I tried a new salon based on the stylist gallery. She had beautiful color and cuts. Demi Rae Hair Salon. I booked with the owner, Demi. She was friendly and so were the other stylist. I explained that wanted the same color I have, which is base for roots with partial foil highlights. I even sent her a picture. For the cut, I wanted a long inverted bob.
She puts color on and turns me over to her āassociateā that just got her license. After processing, I was taken back to have foils removed. One section at a time with a rinse. I have never had this process of removing foils but okay, new technique. It took 3 hours of color being put on and washed out of my hair. The associate did put a toner on my hair. Iām sure if it helped or made it worse. Demi never once came and looked at my color to make sure it was lifting correctly.
I then get taken back to Demiās chair where I show her the picture again of the cut I want. She cut way too short. Looks NOTHING like what I showed her. Iāll show pictures at the end. After she cuts, she goes to get her associate to dry my hair straight so Demi can then finish cutting. It took so long to dry my hair. Finally itās dry and the associate goes back to get Demi. I step to the restroom because I have there for 3 1/2 hours and I walk out to see Demi had started cutting someone elseās hair. I sit down and keeping watching in disbelief. Then she starts to put the ladies hair in sections to foil. Thatās it!! I walk over to her and ask if she could finish my cut because I needed to leave. I said Iām sorry to interrupt, but I have been here for 4 hours and I need to go. I could tell she was annoyed but at this point Iāve didnāt care. I asked her if she could get the cut to look a little more like the picture and she informed me was cut that way I just needed to straighten the ends so they would come to a point. She finally asked if I liked the color. I said yes because whatās the point to ask and check now after itās done. š¢ I just wanted to leave. She ran straight iron through my hair and sent me on way with her associate. This was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a salon. The icing on the was a $245.00 charge. No, I did not tip!!!!! My blood pressure was so high from this ordeal....
Ā Ā Ā Read morefirst of all, the google map takes you to the opposite side of the building so i was lost for 5-10 minutes till i got in touch with my hair stylist. it doesnāt have the phone which i couldnāt call and ask for a help.
secondly, i am VERY disappointed with my hair service. i found my hair stylist through facebook. we had a chat through messenger and i explained my hair conditions and whatās been done on my hair and pictures of hair how i want it to be done. made sure with the hair stylist i want my hair to be done like the photos i sent her and she said she will which is silver highlights. i was VERY DISAPPOINTED when it was done, which my finished hair was pretty much same hair as i walked in.
as a hair stylist, i think you should say no if you cannot achieve what the costumer wants. when we were chatting, she said she can do what i asked for and the results were opposite of what i wanted. she continuously telling me about how i box dyed (which been more than 3-4 months ago) my hair so she may not be able to do but she will try her best. iāve had many highlights done on my hair before so i know the process of it. she did not even put me under the heat during the bleaching process. when it was done she said this was the best she could do and that made me very upset and made me wonder why she even said she can do it in the first place. this is my first visit and probably will not go back.
this supposed to be a gift for myself but just ended up wasting my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked an appointment with Demi and asked for light and ashy which she said she could accomplish in two sessions. I wanted highlights and to tone my hair ashy and I sent photos that literally said ash bronde hair (I have medium brown hair). I noticed when the toner was put on it was orange which I knew was the wrong type of toner I asked for. Then when blow dried I was asked if I liked it and I said I don't feel like it's what I asked for so not really... instead of light and ashy it's even darker and brassy. I left the appointment paying almost $400 for the exact opposite of what I asked for and I cried in the parking lot. She offered to tone it for free saying it would be darker but less brassy. I was like well I guess darker is better than orange so I went back (second mistake). When the toner was done she asked me again if I liked it and I said no, it's overall still not what I asked for but it's better, and then she proceeded to gaslight me loudly in front of other clients showing me the photo of the photo I sent her saying, "This is what you sent me, this is what I gave you," even though it was the exact opposite. Then she CHARGED me for extra toner that was supposed to be a free service "because I have thick hair". Wanted to write this review because it was the worst experience I've ever had getting my hair done and I felt so small after both appointments. Waste of money and time, and she was not a nice person when I said how...
