We went here for dinner this past weekend while in town on a bachelor/bachelorette. We had a party of 17 with reservations at 6:30. We had another reservation for an event at 8:30, but we figured 2 hours would be plenty of time to eat and get to our 8:30 reservation. When we arrived they put us at 2 different tables with 2 different servers. Everything was nice at first, our drinks and appetizers got out quickly and the atmosphere was great. After 30 or so minutes the other table already had their main course and ours did not. When I asked they said it would be out soon. After another 30 minutes (1 hour total) the other table was finished eating and we still didn't have our main course. I asked again where our food was and that we had to be somewhere at 8:30 the waitress said our food was taking so long because some of us ordered sushi. So, they were telling us that as a "sushi" restaurant they can't make "sushi" in a timely manner??? Also, only 3 of the 8 people ordered sushi. The rest of us got really easy things like fried rice, wings, and curry. Finally after 1 1/2 hours our food finally came out giving us only about 15 minutes to eat before we had to leave. My sister's sushi still never came out until we were getting up to leave. They did offer to remove that from the bill and then brought out a "complimentary" dessert like they didn't understand we had to leave. I think there is a real language barrier because we asked about our food multiple times and told them multiple times we needed to be somewhere at 8:30, yet they didn't seem to understand. The waitress was very dismissive and acted like 1 1/2 hours for sushi was normal! They offered no other discount and just kept saying how they had only been open for 2 months, etc. I paid $70 for fried rice, crab wontons, spring rolls, and wings that took 1 1/2 hours to make. This is some of the worst service I have ever had and the food was average at best. The only thing good about this...
Read moreI recently visited Sushi Thai Savannah, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was prompt and friendly. We decided to go all out and ordered three different dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations.
First, we started with the Falcon Roll, which was a delightful mix of lobster tempura, avocado, and cream cheese, all topped with baked salmon and a savory Masago sauce. The lobster was crispy, and the baked salmon added a nice depth of flavor. It was so satisfying that we almost ordered another one right away!
Next, we tried the Royal Pad Thai. This was the star of the night for sure. It came with shrimp and lobster wrapped in an egg crepe, and the whole dish was seasoned to perfection. The combination of flavors, from the tender seafood to the subtle sweetness of the sauce, made it one of the best Pad Thais I’ve ever had. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a twist on the traditional!
Finally, we couldn’t leave without trying one of their signature rolls, so we ordered the Big Daddy Roll. This deep-fried roll with salmon, tuna, white fish, crab, and cream cheese, topped with spicy mayo and Masago, was an explosion of flavors. The perfect balance of crunch and creaminess made this roll an absolute must-try for any sushi lover.
Overall, this restaurant truly delivers when it comes to both Thai and Japanese fusion dishes. We’ll definitely be back to explore more...
Read moreDate night prices without the date night ambiance. We ordered the Falcon sushi roll, duck curry, and egg with wonton soup. The sushi and duck curry were phenomenal. The egg and wonton noodle soup was very bland. Unfortunately, the meal was flavorless. The chicken and shrimp were flavorless. The main reason I review the restaurant at less than 5 stars is having to repeatedly answer the same question to different staff members. We answered, “food ok?” literally 5 times. Another peeve is the middle section of 4 tables should only be used as the last resort. When sitting in the middle, staff has to stand around you and repeatedly walk by you while you eat since their plates, cutlery, and to-go containers are there. Patrons are forced to walk bedside you when entering and leaving - it’s just a messy, clustered area. I could recommend for lunch; however, this is not a restaurant I would recommend for a date. The most intimate spot was at the bar. I was really hoping for a home run - mixing Thai and sushi is a deadly combo in our household! Based on the other reviews, I hope it was...
