IT'SUGAR — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Warning: Do not shop here. The staff and (supervisor) are dishonest, rude, and incompetent. I bought a small amount of candy for my daughter and was way overcharged (I was charged more than close to 4x the weight of the bulk candy I bought). Trying to fix the situation was useless — they will not or cannot fix their error — initially tried to convince me the weight was correct but it was obviously wrong. When she finally placed it in the scale in front or me and read the weight she admitted the error but said nothing could be done. They won’t void a sale or refund a customer for overcharged amount. The details of how we were treated are shocking until you look at some of the other reviews. They are either purposefully overcharging and keeping money for themselves, the store has them do this to increase profit for the company, or inept and rude staff with...

Just left. The store was not busy but the one person up front was arranging stock. I stood at the counter for a few moments and then approached her so I could be rung up. I said “ excuse me, I’d like to pay for this”. She had headphones in, so I had to say it a second time. She deeply rolled her eyes at me, sighed and made no effort to hide her frustration with my request to pay for an item. She then announced the store was closing in ten minutes. With the store approaching imminent closure, I didn’t understand how or why my request to be rung up was met with such disdain. I came in here with a friend. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Maybe designer candy, a fancy Sweet Shop (going way back to the 90s). I was disappointed. I was not tempted by a single candy, and I have a sweet tooth for good candy. They had run of the mill stuff, and things you can buy in a lot of store. They did have some Japanese candies, and big gummy bears, they also had some non-candy items. Overall, it's fine. The kids in the shop were super excited. I don't have kids, and I'm not about to buy a ton of candy for my friends' kids.
