I am only giving 3 stars due to the employees and representation. The juice deserves 5!
Let us star with the employees and representation. We arrived at this location and a girl on a blue bicycle strolled by glaring at us. I was pretty disappointed with that seeing that she was wearing a Spiritual Gangster hoodie and that to me seemed like an odd response to give to two yogi's in a parking lot talking. We were talking about getting some juice. Low and behold the girl strolls up to the doors of this place. We start walking up talking about how excited we were to try the juice (I found this place on instagram). When we get to the door the girl locks it right behind her and we see a very tiny sign saying "We are closed today 1st and Marshall is open". I would not have been so dissapointed if I hadn't checked their website three times before coming to this location, where on the website it states open until 4 on Sundays. Luckily the 1st and Marshall location was pretty close and my friend had a stroller for her little one. We walk into the other location and it was beautiful. I love the decor inside and out. There were two other customers and one girl working behind the counter. She was extremely helpful as neither of us had ever had a juice or been there before. As we look over what to get a man comes out from the back and talks to two other customers that had just walked in. Then stands next to us completely ignores us.Which I found odd since the other girl was so nice and here is a man wearing a spiritual gangster item. We are starting to find this rather odd. We purchase our juices and go outside. There is a beautiful patio with a gorgeous wood table and stools. We fell in love and sat and chatted and another friend came to join us. We arrived some time after two and will drinking our juices stayed until after 4. In this time the girl from the other store road up and glared at us yet again... Now I was under the impression this location was open until 6...the website said it was. At 4:30 I hear from the lovely girl that glared at us twice now. "Why are they sitting there! Did they even purchase anything!!!" I use exclamation marks due to the fact she was screaming... Another calm voice states "Yes, they both did and one is still drinking hers". She then proceeds to come outside see 4 people walking up, slams the door shut and locks it. WHOA! There were several juices inside that expired that day and I am sure those people would have loved to buy them. As they were completely shocked (as we were) by that action. They made comments about how "Well I guess that means they are closed when you hear it lock" and another saying "Didn't they close at 6?" We took this as our cue to get out.
For the record, this is what my friend and I like to do once a week. We go out for drinks (usually coffee) and sit and chat. Usually we go to Starbucks and have sat there for FOUR HOURS only to be greeted with smiles and small chat, here we get glares. Seems odd....
We will continue trying to purchase the juice at is was delicious! But I have already looked into purchasing my own juicer and she has one as well. So we probably will not return, simply due to the reactions and conduct of the employee.
We were both extremely disappointed with this. We love going out and chatting and found this a perfect way to stay healthy. I hope whatever was bothering that girl on the blue bicycle Sunday is no longer affecting her and she is at peace with how she reacted...
Read moreEdit: P.S. I'm sorry but I really just am looking for good, positive customer service from this place. I probably will try this place once in a while still but hope this can show that there needs to be a refocus on customer service. Please and thank you. 🙏✌☯️
Honestly, I've given this place so much business it pains me to have to write this. Sure, they're a healthier option in town. If you're looking for a quick grab n' go bite (salad or protein bowl) in and out, healthier, come on in. But, be wary of the service you might experience. The workers here are bipolar. There's maybe a total of 4 employees who are just the sweetest, and I love seeing them, I actually try to go here ONLY when those SWEET people are working, the ones who actually are spreading GOOD vibes. If everyone who worked here was like those sweet individuals, I'd give this place 4 stars. But for a place who prides themselves on "Good Vibes", they need to reconsider their staffing practices. I've experienced a lot of cattiness, what, just because you're in scottsdale gives you the right to be rude to your LOCAL REGULAR customers? They don't bother making relationships with locals, except.... They're super sweet to men, of course, the place is ran by females. The type of service they give is so biased as I watch them fawn over "cute men". Sorry guys. If you're really high vibe, show the same respect to people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and GENDERS.
Also, in regards to food options, I get more and more disappointed each time. They added a new vegan feature, a bowl with falafel, so I'm super excited. Only to find out it's filled with GLUTEN! Come on!!! Be SUPER CAUTIOUS if you're vegan or gluten free when buying food here because you'll also find the staff doesn't know anything about the menu either. If it's not labeled, they've got NO idea. There's usually a couple things I consider for my "cheat days" but what's more ironic is I still have to "cheat" at this "healthy spot". Lolz.
I've been coming here since this place was hole-in-a-wall, back when the Scottsdale location was the only location, when they prided themselves on the quality of their options. I've watched as they've added more and more animal products to the menu and fail to add additional health conscious, grain-free, gluten-free, and vegan options. It's just very disappointing.
Want a another healthy spot that's just around the corner with 100% better customer service? Go to Juice Core, I think I'll be sending my welcomed support over there now unless I feel a friendly welcomed invitation back to...
Read moreI used to love coming to this place, but the staff has become extremely rude the last few times I have come. I stopped in today to buy an açaí bowl, an avosmash, and 4 cold brews with light ice. When I arrived it was 10 to 5 and the first thing Lilly behind the counter says to me is "We Are Closing" and rolls her eyes at my boyfriend and I. I said that's fine I am ready to order. She said okay fine and takes my order as she throws a tantrum. After I ordered she said I could wait outside.
It's 110 degrees outside so of course I wanted to wait inside, so I did. She was not happy about that and says to me a few minutes later to go wait outside they are closed. My acai bowl and the cold brews are prepared and she once again tells me go wait outside for the rest of my order. I told her I am not waiting outside with my acai bowl and cold brews so they can melt in the sun. I wanted to take them home to eat, not take home a soup of acai bowl and watered down coffee.
She told me again that I could not wait inside I had to go outside. I was so over being disrespected I canceled the avosmash and requested a refund.
I am a paying customer that came during business hours to spend my hard earned money at this establishment and was treated like nothing. I have never felt so disrespected. It is not that hard to be kind to others, but the employees here still haven't...
