went to the store looking for jelly cats I had my 18th month old and my nine-year-old sibling. Walked in and everything just felt weird. A lady with the glasses was giving us a look. We asked to see the jelly cats and she only let us see one at a time. Which was very weird because we were planning to buy more than one. I put my daughter down and she was walking around and a old lady approached her and said no to her and took a toy out of her hand, I was going to buy everything she had in her hand. I don’t understand how this is a kid store, but they don’t let kids look at the toys or hold the jelly cats. My sister took a while to pick out a jelly cat. This was her first jelly, cat, and a lady with the glasses that was helping us, kept rolling her eyes at my sister and being rude to her, So we felt rushed to buy a random jelly cat. We didn’t like what we got. We ended up going back to the store no more than 30 min and asked to exchange they said no because my daughter could “stain” her toy , mind we just had bought it. She proceeded to judge my daughter, because my daughter had Ice cream and had some chocolate on her face and didn’t let my daughter touch anything. I was about to buy a $200 jelly cat for my daughter and untill she made a comment Not to let my daughter touch it because she had a LITTLE chocolate on her face, I was seeing if my daughter liked the jelly cat but when she started making these comments about my daughter being dirty When I cleaned her hands I decided not to buy anything. I don’t recommend coming to the store because they judge off based of your color. I am Mexican and I did not feel welcome here at all. my little sister kept mentioning how the lady was rolling her eyes at her. this is my sisters and daughter first jelly cat and they were so sad on there experience here. I don’t recommend coming here. I will never come here again. I spent $300 on jelly cats just to be treated like complete crap. i wish i could return everything i don’t reccmoned ever coming here as i will never...

if i could give zero stars i would. the owner followed my 18 mo old and husband around like a hawk. the only reason i was here was for jellycats. but i get it, my baby puts everything in her mouth. as a parent, if that happens, i am purchasing whatever she touches. this lady came up to my husband and said “if you’re not going to purchase please let me clean it!!” it’s $6 and change, we can buy it. she came up to me for stuffed animals being on the floor. we go to changing hands all the time and jellycats are on the ground along with other stuffed animals. even then, no one is policing us as close as this lady. i get it the floor is dirty lady, but police the other teenagers in the store as well. we do try to contain our baby, they’re going to touch stuffed animals. but in reality, they’re in a toy store. you own a toy store. kids will touch things. why question it in the first place, because we’re brown? idk. it’s honestly weird of the owner but typical for scottsdale. no need to respond owner lady, it is what it is, it’s scottsdale.

1/3 - as stated again, there was never a question we weren’t going to buy whatever our daughter put her mouth on. i like how you guys have made a $6 lip balm an issue, it’s clearly race related, why else would you be following us in your store that we intended to purchase items. your response to my spouse is also comical if not unnecessary.

The owner is very rude. Not allowing someone to return something that still has tags and was obviously not used is ridiculous and she had an attitude about it. She told me that they don't return plushies because people can take them home and get their sweat and etc on them, but you're allowing kids to play with the plush in store? How do you know that any of these kids don't have a cold or virus and they've been handling the toys? I have never ever been to a store with such a ridiculous return policy. We have spent a lot of money in this store and I've never had any issues until this evening. I don't know if the owner was having a bad night or not, but when I tell you she was rude I mean she was RUDE. I will never shop here ever again and it's sad because we loved this place and was willing to drive an hour to shop here. Not anymore. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Whether you are the owner or manager, you need to be respectful and give good customer service.
