It comes with immense contrition and dismay that I find myself the very first man to walk the face of this great planet, a trailblazer, a pioneer that broke the chain of perfection, and boldly went where no man had thus gone before... with dismay, I say, but with the utmost respect for the delectable dessert we call gelato - I, Mike DeTizio, award thee Gelato Cimmino their first 4-star review. Gelato Cimmino is good. It is Good, I say. But do we live in a world in which "good" is juxtaposed with "5-star," much more, a 5.0 rating?? I don't... Do we live in a world in which "good" is paralleled with the word "perfect"?? I do not... I live in a world where a Review defines the very essence of what this great country was built upon... the foundation of Freedom and Honesty. For a review, is not simply a designation of star value conceived by any blabbering fool with a brain and thumbs... no. A Review, is a collection of thoughts, feelings and sentiments all in one, capable of summarizing a myriad of emotions, incorporating all the senses in one... a Review must be whole. It must be real. It must be accurate. Thus, it is precisely why I give thee Gelato Cimmino a 4-star rating. Perhaps I fear not what those before me have - regret. For I do not regret choosing Gelato Cimmino. I live with my choices. "Good" is not worthy of regret. Gelato Cimmino is good. In fact, the only thing I find to be regrettable is the aggregation of ratings compiled before me only to reflect a perfect, perfect 5.0 rating. How dare you people... Pity. Shame on you. Continue on with your journey Gelato Cimmino. I respect you. I support you. It is not you that evokes my despondency at this moment in time, it is simply the world of the "reviewers"... untrustworthy, dishonest, shameful reviewers. Your gelato is tasty. You provide many wonderful flavors to choose from. I find your gelato to have more of a whipped texture, rather than a creamy texture. It should be creamier... Perhaps you may find it in your best interest to never underestimate the importance of maintaining your gelato at a constant temperature of around -13.5 C°... Keep it up Gelato Cimmino. You are Good....

CONS *Bit hard to find at dusk, but the street numbers are easy to read

*Would love to see more flavors, including more unique options, but I gravitate towards the classics usually anyway

*Would prefer hot chocolate to be made with in house cacao based chocolate and homemade whipped cream vs. generic powder based, but the machines used to make it looked restaurant grade quality...I only tried the gelato so far.

*Melts very quickly, though not a bad thing; I love that creaminess about gelato (similar to the density of Grom Gelato Malibu/Hollywood/etc.).

*No fancy designs or artistic designs (like Amorino Gelato in Beverly Hills), but that's something they can improve...the flavor, density, creaminess, quality of ingredients, etc. are my primary rating criteria and customer service, all of which were fantastic!

Note: I'm a Scottsdale, AZ native, who moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, so I am happy to see high quality gelato options in Scottsdale finally! Super freshing! For premium gelato the prices are about normal. A large 3 flavor option in Los Angeles generally costs around $8.50, a pint...

I live in Miami, I have tried many ice creams around the world, with many flavors and textures, classified as the best in their area, award winners and I can assure you that Gelato Cimmino stole my heart, hazelnut, hazelnut/Nutella, Praline Pecan, are some of the best I have ever eaten in my life, creamy texture, the creamiest and inexplicable texture with soft, subtle and not cloying flavors but at the same time with a majestic strength and delicacy. Simply the best on planet Earth, and why not the galaxy. I take advantage of my review to formally ask you to take into account opening a Cimmino ice cream shop in Miami. There are few ice cream shops here that are worth it, but I know that Cimmino would win the hearts of everyone here. I only went to Phoenix in passing because we were going on a road trip to Grand Canyon, Zedona and my daughter lives in Phoenix temporarily since she is on a work rotation and is leaving Phoenix soon and she also told us that you are what she is going to miss the most, so we will not be going to Phoenix anymore and not trying your ice cream anymore fills us with sadness...
